I feel like I have reached a saturation point regarding partisan politics. I think that many Americans and probably more than a few GCers feel the same way. There is just so much hostility about this upcoming election, and it's only June. I really don't remember it being this bad in the past.

Bin Laden was connected to the deaths of thousands during Bush's presidency . . . and he hasn't caught Osama yet either. Do I blame Bush for that? No . . . but you also can't blame Clinton for it. Hindsight is 20/20, but before 9/11, we had no clue that bin Laden was going to be as big as a threat as he was. There was more important stuff going on.
I'm still waiting to hear what the "much bigger stuff to deal with than Osama" was. Monica Lewinsky doesn't count, although she is much bigger stuff than most women, and even most linebackers. Why was the bombing of a U.S. warship and embassies minor and trivial, as is implied?

War, war, war. This war talk's spoiling all the fun at every party this spring. I get so bored I could scream.

Much as I'd like to quote GWTW, I'll just remind JAM that passionate Democrats tend not to have any sense of humor when it comes to politics.

Besides, I don't know nuthin' 'bout birthin' no babies!

I'm bowing out dear sir, but I will leave you with a quote from my favorite tv show since the favorite movie quotes are thinning out....

I don't believe in the Republican party or the Democratic party. I just believe in parties. ~Samantha Jones, Sex & the City

Now THAT'S the proper attitude about parties that SHOULD be adopted!
