Well let's see...I started with a getting my ears pierced. Then I got my second holes. Then me and one of my lb's got our cartlidge pierced together while we were online. (That one kinda hurt and took a year to heal). I cut off my hair May 10, 2004. I decided that I could be beautiful without chemically altering my hair and that I was pretty for who I was and not cuz I had long permed hair. So now I have a fro. I got a tattoo in Florida when I went to see my mom. I was kinda scared, but I said hey what the heck. I hope this pic shows up. I recently got my labret pierced. (That's under my bottom lip) I thought that was gonna hurt soooooooooo bad, but actually I couldn't even feel it. They said it would be sore for like 3 weeks to a month. It's been 3 weeks today and I still don't feel it, thank God, but then again I think I have a high level for pain (Pain is pleasure and pressure busts pipes Jay-Z) I don't have any pics scanned of me with my labret pierced, but I 'll post them soon. I'm really glad I got them, because it represents me. I'm different as hell, but that's cool. That's me. Because my tat is on my lower back I dont let me students see it, I'm a sub. Of course they see the one on my face*piercing not tat*, but that's what makes me who I am. I think it gives them to chance to see what's out there may not be you and that's ok...you don't have to conform. Everybody said my fro wasn't professional, but I will sport it in a minute cuz it represents me and my heritage.

by the way...I wanted a tongue ring but i didn't like the negative connotation associated with it. now i'm getting to the point where i dont care what these people think...so i might be getting one sooner than later...i have to build up my confidence though, so it'll be a couple of months...i think it's gonna hurt!!!

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd thought about doing it once.. but changed my mind for this very reason. As for having piercing/tats that are 'hidden', I prefer to keep them that way until I WANT someone to see them - - not whenever the weather changes!

Ladies, I had a piercing in my "kitty" for about four years. My friend and I were in sumer school and bored one day and she convinced me to have it done since she had one. I was like "COOL!!". Now, I am your average, miss prim and proper, professional woman. All of my friends were completely shocked! I loved it! Well, I just liked how it looked and the though of feeling "naughty". Other than that, it didn't do ANYTHING for my sex life. Every now and then it did a lil something. My boyfriend at the time thought it was sexy. However, when I got with my new man (fiancee') he didn't like it that much. It just really got in the way during intercourse. I finally took it out two months. It was hard to let it go. So for all you wanting it so it can enahnce sezual pleasure.......think twice. It your man can't get it right, he'll NEVER be able to get it right!!

I totally agree with the poster who is the teacher with the 'fro. I am so NOT a conformist(why I feel my path was DST, btw). It all comes down to societies rules and standards?? I feel a piercing should not define a person, but we live in a world where appearances rule. And if your appearance doesn't 'fit' the mold, you are SOL... Proper Decorum should be not be ONE persons view of what looks presentable and what doesn't. That's just my $.02

While I know there is no guarantee for piercings, what kind of questions should I be asking a piercer and what kinds of things sgould I be looking for if I am going to do this. I can I ensure that it's done correctly?

Warning...I started with the "down there"/code speak and just coulnd't do it anymore so there are actually references to the "c" word...LAN SAKES!!!!

I think that a really good piercer will know not only which type of piercing "down there" would be most suitable for you but also the risks involved. For instance, you can get a vertical or a horizontal pierce of the hood alone. Your "button" has to be really big and somewhat fleshy to actually pierce it. Most women don't actually have their clitoris pierced but the hood and of course, the inner labia. In order to actually get the clitoris pierced, it has to be large on GP and not just when you are aroused. There is much more opportunity for losing sensation with an actual clitoral pierce versus the hood or labia. Many women have both.

Horizontal is really pretty, but vertical gives the best sensation. The piercer should KNOW this..period!!!!

He/she should also know which size and typoe of jewelry will alow for proper healing and also which ones provide the most stimulation. Typically heavioer jewelry provides good stim. but you don't want to rip the skin.

I am a SPIN instructor and the piercer basically told me that I would have a problem on the cycle. I pierced myself in South Africa last summer because I was there for three months and I was told it would take 6 weeks to heal so no oral sex and I didn't want to hear my SO's friggin' mouth complaining.....
