I know this 5th grade teacher and one of her students name was spelled Vagina. It was pronounced Va-geena. Mind you this is about the time the public schools teach sex education.

My uncle knows a teacher in which one of her students a couple of years ago name was spelled Shithead. It was pronounced Shaheed.

for girls:
Emilie Antoinette
Stephanie Christianne

for boys:
Joseph Stanley
Nicholas... something.

I'd never name my child after either my future husband or myself. My dad says that he sees far too many problems with credit reports at work because people always get them mixed up.

God, this is so far off in the future... but I definitely have my names that I like already! I love the whole 'last name as a first name' trend and I like unisex names. Not common ones, either.

Girls:
Reagan Brynn
Charlotte Spencer (Charlie)
Ava Tierney

Boys:
Jackson Carter (Jack)
Bennett Aidan (Ben)

Some of your kids are going to have some corny names.

Here's mine:

Boys
Andy Nicholas
Dan Michael
Marcus Scott
(named after the first names of the three guys I've ever liked and the runner-ups)

Girl
Alexis
Antoinette
Kimberly
Yvette
(from eldest to yougest their middle names will be my grandmother's first name, my mother's, and then mine-it's kind of like a family tradition)

Good Question:

If I have any girls they will probably be named one of the following:

Debbon Paige
Ashley Nicole
Madeline Marie
or
Kennedy Michelle

If I have any boys they will probably be named one of the following (but the first born will probably be named after his father):

Ethan Alexander
Michael Debbon

What will strike you all, sometime in the future, is that all of the names that sound so original now, will sound overused then.

Our three are:

Kristin Marie
Megan Elizabeth
Zachary Thomas (Zak)

The middle names are "family" names.

Way back when they were born, those were fairly uncommon -- how many people with those names do you know now?

Here's a suggestion: Use names like John and Mary and they'll probably be the only ones in their class.

I haven't matched up middle and first names yet but I have time considering how soooo single I am right now!

For Girls:
Esme, Brigid, Siobhan, Niamh (pronounced Neeve), Fiona

For Boys:
Seamus, Caleb, Colm, Patrick

I'm Irish - in case the names didn't give it away!

THIS IS TOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!

(the following is taken from that webste on baby names)

"'In a few months I'm going to be a new mom, and we know its a girl. My dh and I have been discussing names lately (we already have six children: Jack Dominick, Rose Solenne, Monroe Charlize, Ophelia Eden, Heart Scarlett, Pascal Sebastien) "

Okay, I think this lady's lying. No two people could contain between them enough evil to conceive both of this many children and this many f'ed up names. Even a godless universe contains more rhyme and reason.

Phoenix (she was conceived in Phoenix)
Aedin
Cielle (see-ell)
Gracelyn
Maxime (max-eem)
Jasmine

These people, being either liars, new age cultists, schizophrenic Dungeons and Dragons players, Mormons, or all four, make most commentary on those preposterous names moot. However:

Every kid thinks the idea their parents have sex is nasty. So why oh why would you want to remind them of it every single time someone calls their name?

I mean, how 'bout some truth in advertising, here! Name her Ramblerbackseat.'

OK seriously,

all of y'all with your trendy names choices need to check out that baby names link and read all 12 pages. I had teachers keep poking their heads in my office cuz i was laughing so loud.

Haven't really given much thought to names for my kids. I was named John Odesas after my grandfather, and before my dad it was family tradition to switch the names. I just can't see naming my son Odesas John though.

I like Nikolas Alexander, like i said on the first name thread, that's what my mom wanted to name me. I think it sounds cool.

I've always liked the name Laura for girls. Mostly because i've had so many gal friends with that name

Kitso
KS 361 times the kids will bow down before my son, Maximus Odesas Kitso

Nahh... don't think your future son would want to be tagged 'Odie' for the rest of his life!
