I think the low turnouts are due to the chamber of commerce changing the date around....
Geee.. I thought that Homecoming was decided by the school!!
Oh yea...must be that "alumni money" from the Chamber of Commerce making the decision, lol.

oh duh, I'm sorry, I keep forgetting everyone's homecoming is not like ours.
Every year Clarion Borough hosts the Autumn Leaf Festival - it's a week plus of food, crafts, car shows and such. The University's Homecoming is always at the end of the week.

Wish me luck! I'm going to be up all night pomping in hopes of matching last year's Homecoming win over Pi Phi.

I almost spewed my morning tea reading this! Only the hardcore Greek Community truly understands the "importance of pomping"!!

Penn State Homecoming 2003
My lovely sorority, Theta Pi Alpha, and the wonderful brothers of Zeta Psi took 2nd place overall in the white division of Penn State's homecoming this year. Our theme was Men in Black. Our float looking AMAZING and we won the float competition! It was sooo much fun!
Note.. we took 3rd place overall last year, 2nd this year... we're gonna be #1 next year!!! (The only reason we weren't this year is because the blue and white society has like 500 members! hehe)

ok UGW (state U of west Ga) was yesterday. It was tied 35 to 35 and we went into over time. We kicked a field goal to make it 38 35 UWG favor, and then West Alabama had the ball and they fumbled!!! WE WON THE GAME. My dad almost fell out of his wheelchair yelling.
Unfortantly the wheelchair seating is where all the GLO org decided to sit, and becuase of Sigma Nu and Pi Kappa Phi around us I could not hear who won anything.
I also meet AGDLynn and her hubby. Great people. Great game. I am so sunburn!

HI There,
CSUDH doesn't have a Football team so our Homecoming is focused around our Soccer team. We were NCAA II champs a couple years ago and number 2 last year if I recall correctly. The men won their game on Friday against Chico State but from what I understand the women lost. bummer.
Anyway, We do a homecoming week that all organizations participate in. Phi Sigma Sigma took first place for the door decorating contest - first time ever for us. I haven't heard the official results of the rest of the competitions but from what I've heard we did place in most of what we entered. Instead of floats we decorate a Golf Cart and we also have a chalk art competition. From what I understand we placed 2 or 3rd in both of those. I haven't heard anything about the Organization pride competition yet.
I must say it has been great to see school pride really starting to develop at CSUDH and especially seeing how much Greek Life has grown and is involved on the campus.

Just had to brag- Phi Mu and Sigma Tau Gamma won the float competition at Marshall! We played Kent State for homecoming, so our float theme was "Kent Fried Chicken", complete with a drumstick over a barbecue pit and a huge green-and-white KFC bucket.
It was awesome, because we put a lot of hard work into that float!
