I'm very disappointed (although, not very surprised) that Arnold is now our Governor. I don't forsee him doing a good job as governor--heck, I don't think he even has a good grasp of what his new position entails, or of the issues at hand, or concrete ways to tackle them...I've never heard him speak of anything concrete and detailed rearding any policy issues, and all the debates he did he had to know the questions in advance...
But at least we defeated Prop. 54 (yeah!) & Uncle Ward "Tom" Connerly...
Here's a short story:
I was taking a cab home the night of the election, and I overheard the cabdriver talking to someone on the phone about the election. He said he asked his coworkers if they voted today, and they said "No". Then, he replied to them, "well you know, you really did vote--you voted for Arnold b/c you didn't vote at all. Now you are going to complain later about the state's problems, when you did nothging to try an fix them"
Hmmm...Something to think about for those that didn't vote...
