Queen Latifah wasn't there...she got an award for acting and they said she couldn't be there last night to accept it.

I think it was Mya and Tyrese who presented that award if I'm not mistaken.

I still believe that Missy is gay. She brings that woman with her to ALL awards shows. WHY? I figure that the woman is her lover. We are just the last ones to know about it...

How did you all miss the comment J Anthony made regarding B and Jay-Z? He said, "Sumthin' aint right...B and Jay-Z together? Sumthin ain't right! Then I need to be with Halle Berry. (Of course, I paraphrased) I was like ohhhhh no!
I didn't miss it! It was one of those comments of the night. It ranked right up there with Tyrese telling Michael that he was "still Black." Tyrese will always be BLACK.

The show was too long. Wait when it comes on again...the editors are busy as we speak.
Be glad that you all caught it the first time because half the show will be eliminated by the next time it airs.

James' performance was long. BUT HE'S THE GODFATHER, so GIVE HIM HIS! He's rarely on TV... BUT WHY IN TARNATION DID HE HAVE THOSE NON-AA DANCERS!
I had to take an intermission during James's performance. I was starting to get a little depressed by the hour long "This is a Man's World" rendition.

Why was Vivica so popular? Erebody wanted to "shout out".
That's what I was trying to figure out! With her new boobs and her new divorcee status, she is getting very "popular" with the fellas....

Why was Musiq sitting on TOP of the chair? They didn't show him when India performed nor when she accepted her award. Maybe he left?
No quick cuts to Musiq. Maybe the breakup wasn't amicable.... She made sure to shout out her "Pumpkinhead." Did she ever shout out Musiq? Hmmm......

Adding: Beyonce did do the JJ....why? She also did it in the video for the Goldmember. She may have gotten better props if she would have done the keychain swing. LMAO
They can't handle her signature "booty bounce" dance (even though we have been doing that dance down here since '92 ). If that "junk in the trunk" would have done the keychain swing, they would have had to shut the city down!! There would have been absolute pandamonium and chaos in the Kodak Theater!

I was pissed at him standing there like a dork while Stevie was playing his song. Then, the loser didn't even have the gall to hug, shake hands, thank, dap Stevie! You were on stage with STEVIE WONDER, you moron!!!

LMAO. NOW it's HER signature dance. You can't tell the sistas in the Calliope, BTW, or FISHER that. LMAO They are now saying Beyonce is this generations Tina Turner.

LMAO@ Missy and her woman. It could be.

India didn't mention Musiq, but the song she did makes me think she WAS talking about Musiq when she wrote it (the "gap in his teeth"). Did you notice the tear she wiped from her eye?

What was up with Lisa Raye and her comment to her sister Brat? What was THAT all about? Who says Brat isn't the isht? I know Brat was trying to get all up on Tigga on the Red Carpet. He couldn't hardly interview V. Green.

My thoughts...

I was watching America's Next Top Model while watching this, so I missed alot of things, but these thoughts came to mind...

SOLE: Did y'all see how big Sole's breasts were (I'm not gay y'all, but they were ALL IN MY GRILL!!!)???? I mean, dayum, they were bursting out of that dress!!! She was sitting by Ginuwine...I thought they had broken up!

P. DIDDY: He was sitting by Foxxy Brown but I don't think they're talking. I know he's producing her next album.

JAMES BROWN: Is old and he had on too much make up. Did y'all see that his make up got on Michaeal Jackson's shirt? That was too funny!

MICHAEL/LATOYA JACKSON: Are fake and look HORRIBLE! LaToya is getting old and it's beginning to show. Michael looks like he's gained some weight. I hope he enjoyed his ten minutes of fame!

BEYONCE: She did well, she looked pretty!

ASHANTI: Looks good! I don't think she looks like Beyonce at all! But that trick CAN NOT SING FOR ANYTHING!! She should never do live performances!

R. KELLY: THE GREATEST!!! I love him, always will love him!

INDIA.ARIE: I hate her speeches when she wins her rewards...she acts stupid to me. Yeah, that guy she was recognizing is her man...he's in all of her latest videos too!

MISSY'S FRIEND: I was saying the same thing about that "friend" of hers. Why did she have to get on stage anyway? I think that was so simple minded of her. Sit your tail down!

MAGIC JOHNSON: He was keepin' it real on his speech! I loved his message.

Question: What happened with the best male R & B artist of the year? Why did Reuben say Jaheim and Isley said R. Kelly? Were there two winners or what? I'm baffled!

That's all!

Personally, I think the BET Awards are kinda wack (actually I think BET is wack on the whole). Can the only major cable network designed specifically for Black people focus on something else besides entertainment and sports? And naming the Nomination Special "I Wanna Thank My Momma"??? Can we not be ghetto? I'm sayin'...

R U SERIOUS?!?!?!!? Geeeeeezus. . . I did not watch the awards this year or last. I only watch BET if I am at someone's house these days.

You all's commentary though was so colorful that I could picture it in my head. I caught a pic of Ashanti's dress and LMAO @ the poster who said it looked like an ice skating dress -- it really did.

Kudos to Magic for encouraging folks to have longevity with their funds.

Sole was a little bit busty! However, she just had a baby a few months ago, so they may still be her "baby breasts."

On the aftershow, Diddy and Foxy were guests. Jacque Reid referred to them as a "nice-looking couple." Diddy and Foxy QUICKLY interjected and clarified that they were NOT a "couple," but were just together for the show. I guess it was for promotions sake. Diddy said that he wanted to get it straight that they weren't a couple before he gets "busted in the head when I get home." Does this mean that he and Kim Porter are back together? Let's hope not because I'm sort of digging him these days....

Foxy stated that Puff came and got her straight from the shower while she was still wrapped in a towel and dressed her. (Hopefully the straight from the shower part was an exaggeration) If he did, regardless, I THANK HIM!! She looked like a lady and she impressed me last night. She's not really ugly, but we have enough "tramps" out already. I mean, Kim, Trina, Khia, etc. The field is full. I'm sure that she will maintain her "sexy" image, but she will have to tone it down if she rolls with Diddy.

This category was a tie with Jaheim and R. Kelly.

Girl, Puffy and Kim are together. They been together since him and J-Lo called it quits. I have seen too many pics of the 2 of them together. I would not be surprised if the 2 of them get married, but Puffy just a note that MORE kids = HIGHER child support when the marriage ends.

No comment on Redefined's attraction to Puffy.

RD I thought I was the only person remembering the "booty dance" from the 90s. Girl can you picture the men falling out looking at her doing the "keychain swing" ?:
