I would love to see Alpha at Syracuse first and then one at the University of Louisville since that is where I am from!

It'll never happen... But I'd most like to see VMI become open again to fraternities. That's where our Alpha chapter has been dormant for quite some time.

They do have enough respect to allow us to visit and they help to maintain some of our (and ATO's) memorials there.

Wow .. amazing on how many people would like to see their chapters at Stanford University. Do you guys have a small Greek community there?

I guess we take Eta Deut for granted ...

Yeah, I'm very proud of Alpha Phi's representation in Canada. The state I think we NEED more chapters is Florida. We have two there but they're both at small schools where they're the only or one of two NPC orgs on campus. For a sorority of our size it's almost embarrasing that we're not represented at any of the major universities, Florida, Florida State, UNF, UCF... anything!

We're also barely represented in any of the deep south but I'm sure that's a problem that just builds on itself as years go by...

I'd also really like to see the chapters recolonized at Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado State.

Stanford has the following fraternities and sororities:

Phi Kappa Psi (housed)
Sigma Chi (housed)
Sigma Alpha Epsilon (housed)
Theta Delta Chi (housed)
Sigma Nu (housed 2003)
Sigma Phi Epsilon (unhoused)
Kappa Alpha (housed)
Kappa Sigma (housed)
Delta Kappa Epsilon (Currently inactive)
Phi Delta Theta (Currently inactive)
Delta Tau Delta (Currently inactive)
Theta Xi (Currently inactive)
Delta Upsilon (Currently inactive)
Zeta Psi (Currently inactive)
Alpha Delta Phi (Currently inactive)

Sororities:
Delta Delta Delta (housed)
Kappa Alpha Theta (housed)
Pi Beta Phi (unhoused)
Kappa Kappa Gamma (unhoused)
Alpha Chi Omega (unhoused)
Delta Gamma (Currently inactive)
Alpha Phi (Currently inactive)

BGLO's:
Alpha Phi Alpha (unhoused)
Kappa Alpha Psi (unhoused)
Omega Psi Phi (unhoused)
Delta Sigma Theta (unhoused)
Alpha Kappa Alpha (unhoused)

Stanford used to be a really big greek school, but since the 1980's, due to issues with alcohol, low interest in rushing, and a not very greek supportive Residental Education department, groups have been forced to leave. And unfortunately, once a group leaves for whatever reason, it is almost impossible to get reinstated back on campus.

Phi Sigma Sigma in Northwest

I'm pretty sure it's similar in Idaho, Montana, etc. I would LOVE to see some of these schools go Greek!
Hi FuzzieAlum,
I just wanted to say that Phi Sigma Sigma has chapters at Portland State University and Linfield College (McMinnville, OR). Unfortunately on the West Coast we only have a total of 10 chapters, the two I just mentioned and then in California at Chapman University, Woodbury University, University of LaVerne, CSU Sacramento, CSU Stanislaus, CSU Bakersfield, San Francisco State, and my personal favorite CSU Dominguez Hills (GO Toros).
I'd love to see us recolonize UCLA, USC, CSU Northridge, since they are all close to CSU Dominguez Hills and we'd probably help with the recolonization effort. It would also be great to recolonize at Berkley.
We have a sister that is transfering to U of Hawaii - Manoa and it be great if she could start a chapter there. Plus I wouldn't mind seeing us at UNLV and University of Arizona.
Oh and I can't forget every Phi Sigs dream, to recolonize our Alpha Chapter at Hunter College, NY.
Carolyn

I wanted to let you know that Nunavut, Yukon and Northwest Territories are territories, not provinces. What this means is that they are "Federal Territories" which is kind of like your District of Columbia. Those 3 territories have no "Premier" (i.e. it's like your State Governor)....but all 10 provinces do have a Premier.

Alberta:At U of Alberta: DG, KAT, PiPhi, AGD and a closed DDD chapter. At U of Calgary: AGD and AOII
New Brunswick:No Greeks, period, except for a Zeta Psi colony (and that was in 2000)
Newfoundland:No Greeks, period.
Northwest Territories:No universities here. Maybe the community colleges can confer degrees, but I don't know for sure.
Nova Scotia: AGD and some locals: IBX (SisterPlum's org) and OmegaII
Nunavut:No universities here. Maybe the community colleges can confer degrees, but I don't know for sure.
Prince Edward Island:No Greeks here period.
Saskatchewan:No Greeks here period. I think they had a local here in the 1950's or something & it was called Pente Kai Deka.
Yukon:No universities here. Maybe the community colleges can confer degrees, but I don't know for sure.

Sorry that I don't know much about Canadian Geography but I just wanted to say that Phi Sigma Sigma has chapters at University of Windsor and at Carleton University in Ottawa.

I'd like to see a new OD chapter.....anywhere! We're a local, but we've thought about expansion, just never gotten around to it. Someday. A Beta chapter would be interesting.

I'm a Chi-O at UW-Madison and we only have two other chapters in WI (at Carroll and Carthage Colleges), so I would love to see more chapters of Chi Omega in Wisconsin. Also, I think it'd be interesting to see us expand internationally...I've only been in XO for a semester so I don't know, has this been talked about?

I'm too lazy to read through the whole thing to see if any other Zetas posted, but I'd like to see us reopen our canadian chapter(s). Also, having Zeta at the big Ivy League schools would be cool.

At the University of Texas, there used to be Gamma Phi Beta, Phi Mu, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, and Delta Zeta. I wish these groups could re-colonize there. Some were VERY old chapters, like from the 1930s and 1940s. It looks like a school the size of UT could support another sorority or two. Yes, I know it is much harder than you'd think.
