P.S. Saying that "Tri delts are sluts at my school, blah blah blah, is like saying that all women are sluts, etc. Those generalizations make the person saying them look like a prejudiced, uninformed idiot, IMHO!

Carrie, you are absolutely right. Still, people keep on posting these "What do you think of XYZ" threads and unfortunately people will keep on talking trash about other GLOs on their campus. This is why I (and 33girl...the head posting Nazi) hate those topics.

At most schools it seems to be the same rep... pretty girls, party girls, fun... etc.

Tri Delts at Pitt were awesome when I was there. Their image was that of rich, pretty, preppy girls who partied mostly with the Delta Tau Deltas. They all seemed to have dark hair cut into chin length bobs.
I met some great sisters there during rush and I recall being happy that I was invited to their final parties but in the end I decided to go with Delta Zeta. Still, I had lots of Tri Delt friends that I thought were great

Tri-Delt was probably one of the first sororities I heard of and I only heard good things! Sweet sweet girls, great house, but competative campus during rush. Rumored to be all beautiful blondes too...never a bad thing! Chapter was @ Cornell.

I have met some tri-delts who i wanted to tell to go to hell, and I have met tri-delts who I love to death and am very close to. I dont think that each chapter is different, its each girl that is different. You cant judge a chapter by two or three people in it. Havent we learned that by now
Also I know that we want to defend ourselves and are chapter, but getting masty back only makes you look just as ignorant sometimes.

This is addressed to the people that have called my sorority a bunch of sluts, so getting attention from guys is being a slut, a rumor gone wrong is being a slut, having a guy talk trash on us for probably no reason is a slut, sorry if my sorority has pride, is social, can party with the best of them, and still get stuff done, next time maybe try being friends with a Tri-Delt and most importantly don't believe stupid rumors, that was for highschool, I know I came to college to learn, grow, and become more enriched, maybe you should try that too!!!

I've heard that Tri Delt is a very strong sorority nationally and has a sisterhood with loads of energy. Katie Couric is my fav.
We never had Tri-Delt at school so I really cant say in that regard. I did briefly meet a Tri-Delt one time at a party at U of I. and I wasnt that impressed. I also met another online and didnt have a great experience there, but then I did chat with a cool Tri Delt from Canada.

The Tri-Delts here don't really impress me...I've met a couple of cool ones, but in general, the chapter here tends to be the more stereotypical "sorority girl" types.
Which isn't necessarily bad, if you look at it like that, just not my personal cup of tea, which is fine.

We don't have Tri-Delta at UMass, but my very good friend from high school is a Tri-Delt, and when I went to visit her down South, her sisters were awesome and so hospitable. Besides her chapter, everything I've ever heard about Tri-Delt is great, so you girls must be doing something right!!

Thanks for all your responses, it is amazing how much first impressions can either steer a person away or draw them in, hopefully any bad experiences people have had with other Tri-Delts were when they were having off days. Keep em' coming and have a great weekend!!!!
