Politicians who name drop random people from random towns in swing states.
"Just the other day, I was talking to Mary Fisher in Podunkville OH. She told me that..."

I forgot to mention the main one I had in mind. On nearly every episode of The Bachelor/Bachelorette you'll hear something like:
"We had a great time on Sally and I's date." I's? Seriously?
I also get annoyed with "her/him and I".

"Did you buy some chicken soup?"
NO, I DON'T WANT ANY DAGGONE CHICKEN SOUP, DON'T ASK ME AGAIN. Despite the misleadings of Puff the Magic Dragon, chicken soup is not some magical substance that hits viruses with its chicken fatty kryptonite so you can stop insinuating that I want to be sick just because I won't eat the stupid soup!
Hmph. *stops ranting and snuggles deeper into the couch*

"Byeeeee"
Like pronounced "BAH-yeeeeeeee" instead of bye. You sound like Tigger bouncing away while bidding someone farewell.

"way, shape, or form."
I wish I could turn that phrase into a drinking game at work.
"I wouldn't help them in any way, shape, or form." Could have just stopped at "way".

"dialoguing" (I really despise that this is now acceptable)
(TPA85, I'm no longer going to use "way, shape, or form" simply because you used the Oxford comma!!! I bow at your feet.)

Deal! Changing the world's phrases one comma at a time.
I was just always taught to use it and I don't understand why it isn't universally accepted.

Cannot use the Oxford comma, the journalist in me is programmed to go without. When I am writing for my PhD program, I have to use APA style and that comma kills me every time.

"A thousand percent!" or any variation of it really irritates me. "When I try something I always give it a hundred and ten percent."
Since when is 100% insufficient?

On that note, I was taught that saying "and" in math denotes a decimal. Therefore, it peeves me when people throw "and" into a number. Leslie Anne, unless those people want you to give 100.10 percent, tell them to go somewhere!

Isn't this technically 100.(point) 10 percent, or just a shade over 100 percent? It doesn't read like it's 110 percent.
If this drives you crazy, you should see my copy when I'm speechwriting and have to cite a number for my speaker. "XYZ Foundation raised more than 61-point-7-million-dollars in Fiscal Year ...."
Odd to read (and write), but it makes it flow during delivery.
