Am I the only person who eats ice cream all year round?

When I moved here, it surprised me that the ice cream places (non-chains) would close for the winter.

I love eating ice cream even when it's cold outside.

^^We definitely do. I couldn't imagine winter holidays without all the ice-cream related desserts!

Quote:
Going for a place in ice cream history, Cold Stone Creamery has introduced Cake Batter Ice Cream, which it believes will be the biggest new flavor to arrive on the frozen desserts scene since Ben & Jerry's introduced Cookie Dough ice cream back in 1991. "We are introducing an unprecedented ice cream flavor with an amazing new taste to ice cream lovers around the world," said Lisa Levi, Cold Stone Creamery media relations specialist. "It's a milestone for Cold Stone Creamery, but even more importantly it's a major milestone in the industry and is sure to make ice cream history."

@IL This was in 2003. Maybe they stole the recipe from a small business in your hometown?

@KSUViolet
Nope, but a couple of the non-chain places here do the same thing. Business just isn't high enough to justify the costs of running the store.

Oh yeah, Toft's had cake batter way before 2003. I was eating it in college (98-02). I doubt they stole the recipe, Toft's is strictly yellow cake batter with chocolate icing swirls. Just the same concept!

We eat ice cream year-round here, and most of the BIG places for ice cream stay open all year, but the little road-side stands that pretty much just do soft serve close in the winter.

Ohhhh I love cake batter ice cream too. Birthday Cake Remix is my second favorite at Cold Stone. It's cake batter ice cream, brownie, sprinkles and fudge. Cold Stone also has CHOCOLATE cake batter ice cream...mmmmm. I'm also a big fan of Oreo Overload (sweet cream ice cream, crushed up oreos, chocolate chips and fudge).

Alright, time to go for a run because now I'm gonna have to go to Cold Stone tonight...

Alas, I didn't see this till just now. I literally did get my keys and go out as soon as I typed that. I had cake batter, yellow cake pieces, strawberries, and rainbox sprinkles. It was deliciousness.

But I did see what you might like. It's called Cake Batter Batter Batter. It's cake batter ice cream with cookie dough and brownie pieces. Your taste?

I don't know if I have an absolute favorite, but this one's gotta be near the top of the list. Something about the pop rocks, I guess :P

Am I the only one here who doesn't care for Cold Stone? I've only had it once and I thought I was going into diabetic shock after. It's the only time in my life I felt sick after eating ice cream.

Yes, you are.

I am a "sweetaholic" and I can only handle the "like it" size, but every bite of it is music to my taste buds. When I do get Cold Stone, it is my meal (usually lunch), which is why Peanut Butter Perfection is my top choice. It has protein

I rarely eat sweets, but Cold Stone is one of my guilty pleasures. I've never had any bad ice cream there.

Nah, I don't care for it either.

I didn't end up getting Cold Stone yesterday The one nearest is a bit far, so I had to settle for Oberweis. I got Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream of course, but it just wasn't the same withought the bits of Reeses or the fudge.
