Cory from season 2 was kicked off around this time for similar charges. However, Cory wasn't up front with the producers about his fall out, so when it came up, he was booted because he withheld information. Scott, on the other hand, apparently was up front about the whole mess. But I think someone said it best when she didn't understand how Frenchie was booted out of the running early on for being on a porn site, but Scott, who's account is much worse, stays. Talk about your double standard. Someone with any sort of criminal record doesn't deserve to represent as an "idol."

And if Tasia keeps singing like that, she isn't going to have a voice by the time she is 30. (See Tyler, Steven.)

While I agree that Fantasia needs to stop (so glad I missed her performance last night), I disagree about Steven Tyler. I've been to two Aerosmith concerts in the last 3 years, and the man definitely can still sing.

As for last night's results, I too am shocked that Scott didn't go home. I also think that Anthony should have been the next to go after Scott. But I am not surprised or disappointed about Nikko, because he just isn't that great to me. He really is pitchy quite frequently. Yeah, he can sing, but I know probably like 10 people who sound just like him. I would have picked him to go after Scott and Anthony though. Then Constantine. Well, maybe Constantine before Nikko.

Yes, and he got bad reviews. Seriously, he did.
Also, the Detroit rocker thing? I dont see it. And I'm from the Detroit suburbs. And my mom, 56, thinks he's as smarmy as I do. Also a Detroit woman. Just thought I'd add those thoughts to Dee's.

And Fantasia was horrific! Constascream ain't got nothin on her!!!

he got the boot b/c he didn't disclose the info to the show producers before, and scott did.

i'm STILL pissed that the wifebeater stayed and Nikko left. Wifebeater hasn't sung well =AT ALL= in the past few weeks... and like someone already mentioned, I think he had a feeling he was going home by that BS speech about he is gonna do what God's will is for him or whatever.

And Fantasia -- goodness gracious! Yikes. Did ya'll see Simon's face after she performed? Randy and Paula were jumping out of their seats and looked so MOVED by her performance... wheras Simon just had a forced smile while he was clapping. hehehe

mini-hijack

I know Steven can still sing and he's great... for his genre. He was just the first person I thought of when recalling "Dream On" in comparisson to "Don't want to miss a thing."

And this is going to start a completely different topic, so I'll just stop.

/hijack

Topic? Scottie go home!

I missed Nadia's performance, but my boyfriend said she was really bad. Was she that awful?

i really don't think Vonzell is all that good... but because the other contestants are SO boring and she's cute with a lot of energy and personality (without being annoying) that it makes her seem that much better

scott is scary

Well, here's my take on tonight:

Nadia - I never heard that song before. Didn't think she did too well.

Bo - That's the kind of song he should have been doing all along.

Anwar - Nice job, nice song.

Harry Potter - sounded strained at times. I don't really care for that song.

Vonzell - good job, good song. Very peppy and fun to watch.

Scott - sounded off pitch to me at times.

Carrie - I didn't really like what she did.

Constanscream - Freddy Mercury he's not. But it took nerve to take on that song, which I like a lot. I try not to look at him.

My opinions:

Nadia- I personally didn't think she was horrible. It wasn't the best song choice but there were others that did worse tonight.

Bo- I've wanted him to do Free Bird for awhile. He was good but I thought he was going to blow me away doing that song and he didn't.

Anwar- He was good but it was a forgetable performance.

Anthony- The judges say he was good but I thought he was incredibly pitchy.

Scott- I cringed on his lower notes but he was good on the higher notes.

Vonzell- She did good with the song. I think she's got one of the best voices in the competition but, for some reason, I don't think she's got a huge fan base.

Carrie- She tried to rock out but I think she should stick to country. She was very pitchy and her ending note was awful. Just an ok performance. I expected better from her.

Constantine- I really, really, really wanted him to do bad. When I heard he was doing Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody', I thought that unless he rocked the song than he should be tarred and feathered for doing a Queen song. He rocked out. He did a really good job. Now I must go puke...I just complimented Constantine.
