Honey-- Wow! I got chills......

Second, can we all pray for our chapters who are currently (or soon will be) going through recruitment this semester and all chapters who may be starting COR.......

Happy New Year to you all!

What a beautiful idea! I will certainly agree in prayer with anyone whose chapter is going through recruitment or COR!

Please pray for my sister (biological). She has a kidney infection and a terrible cold. She will not be able to return in time for recruitment events this weekend at her school- but please pray she can return in time for school on Monday.

Please keep my uncle in your thoughts and prayers...he is having a biopsy tomorrow after 2 very highly elevated cancer screening. My family already lost someone in October so I cant bear to lose another...especially my uncle who is like a second father to me.

Sisters, please remember my uncle, too. He was taken back to the hospital today, after falling down from being weak. (ETA: he has pneumonia, and will be there for at least a week.)

Also, it looks as if I'm having another round of skin cancer. The "bump" that I thought looked bad (which is why I made my yearly appointment early) is okay, but two others weren't & were biopsied. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the one that was bad and the one that was okay, but my wonderful doctor said that it was only under a microscope, and then after a biopsy that she would know for sure. That doesn't make me feel so great, as after going through this before, I was thinking, "Okay, I know now what to look for." I do have a twinge of fear, since there's so much of this in my family, I'm so fair, and this being Round Two in less than 5 years, but I'm also putting my faith in the Lord, that He had me make the appointment when I did, knowing that the one was fine, but the others needed to be taken care of (I was told that the one was not a minute too soon). So, while this is not the best news, praise the name of Jesus that I DID get to the doctor in time to see to them!

ps - Y'all do realize that I'll be back on my "Suntanning is bad for you!!" soapbox again this summer!

So if everyone could send warm vibes my way that would be great.

I'm having some issues with one of my assistants (which isn't new but now my attitude is of not putting up with her shit).

Second, my house is on the market and I hope it sells quickly. I got a call from my realtors assistant yesterday saying that two couples, who came on Tuesday, ranked my house in their top 3. So she is going to be calling them today to see about any offers. So please keep your fingers crossed for me.

I just want to make a little prayer request for a friend of mine. My best friend since forever goes to Iowa State University and is a Chi Omega there. While she was home for break, the doctor found a lump in her chest. With a very strong history of cancer in her family, she is scared to death about this. She is having it biopsied when she is home for her next break. Either way, she will have to have it surgically removed very soon. Please please keep her in your prayers. Thanks!

When I changed my bandages yesterday & today, I noticed too much drainage, red streaks, & frankly, a stench - even though I had kept it VERY clean! I called the doctor's office, and they had me in today.

1) When the nurse took the bandage off, it was perfect! Nice, flat beginning scab (the wound from the biopsy had been very deep; almost the depth of a pencil) was almost even with my arm, no oozing, no odor, no streaks. I was apologizing, saying, "Honestly, it was really gross this morning! I was going to bring in the bandages!"

2) The biopsy had just come back and was benign!!

3) The doctor was terribly pleased with how it was healing, and told me to keep up whatever I was doing.

4) The nurse who came in to dress the wound was also amazed, and I finally said, "I don't know if you believe in prayer, but I've asked for a lot of prayer on this..." and she gave me this big bear hug! She said, "The Lord can heal a lot more than doctors can!"

I don't have to go back for a YEAR, unless something else happens!! The Lord is so good!!!

I am very happy things worked out for you honey!

Sadly my uncle didnt have as good of luck as you did. His biopsy results showed early stages of prostate cancer. He's been like a second father to me and his youngest daughter is only 10. I was pretty shooken up last night and partly in denial right now. Doctors claim since they caught it so early that they have a good chance of beating it. He goes at the end of the month to speak with a radiologist and chemo specialist.

((((((((((((((HBADPi)))))))))))))))))))

I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle - but so glad that they caught this in the beginning stages! Caught in the earliest stages, he has such a better chance than when not. We'll just have to pray that he responds easily to treatment!

So I don't confuse y'all, I DO have two Basal Cell Skin Cancers, which were removed - they just weren't to the maligant stage. Once you've had that word used to describe a part of your body, no matter how small, you're a statistic and need to watch out.

Requesting prayers for the safe return of Jennifer, my missing chapter sister.

One of my chapter sisters (alum) is missing. She was last seen in Orlando. I've posted this message on the Greek Forum: http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...threadid=74509

Please pray for Jennifer's safe return.

Unhappy

adpiucf, that's horrible! We all should be praying (or at least thinking good thoughts) for Jennifer's safe (and quick!) return! I'm sure you're upset, too, knowing her. Please take care of yourself.
