Right here. And, completely amazed... You'd think when someone makes a mistake they would put their big girl pants on and admit it. I guess I will have to apologize for my sister's behavior.

DMBabyZTA---
You made a mistake. Stop. You are being rude to people for no GOOD reason. SCREAMING AT PEOPLE TENDS TO RUB THEM THE WRONG WAY. YOUR THOUGHTS AND YOUR INTENTS GET LOST IN THE PROCESS.
I am sure your intention was not to be rude to people. But, that is how it is definitely coming off, especially in some of your comments. If you cannot refrain from insulting people, who happen to be my friends, perhaps you might consider limiting your posting to our thread...

I don't feel like anything I have said was rude, sorry if any of you have taken offense to my posts. On the other hand if you look at what OTW has said to the girl who started this thread, i'd say she was pretty damn rude, ugly, mean whatever you want to call it. So sorry I will leave your thread alone, like I said I have better things to do.

You have already gone above and beyond in the "apologizing for your sisters" department, you're a better woman than I am in that regard.

WOW all the Sigma Kappas I know are great, warm, and fair people. I guess they aren't all this way. That's a darn shame.

I'm new here and figured that this is where I need to come for help.
I am 35 years old, married, and have an 8 year old son. I just completed
my Associate's degree and I am continuing at a state university next month, for my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. The reason why it took me so long to get this far is that I have always had to support myself from 18 years old and on. I have had to provide a home for myself
and work full time in order to supprt myself. I have worked very hard these past several years and feel that I have just a little more to go. I will be attending full time and working full time as well. I don not feel like a typical 35 year old and feel as if my heart is very young. I am thrilled to be finishing up my undergraduate career and would also like to fully experience college the right way. I have always wanted to join a sorority, and wonder if this might be the time that I would be able to do that. I admire the sisterhood of sororities and would like to be a part of that.
I am proud to be attending a great university and would love for to make a sorority part of my life. If anyone can respond and tell me your thoughts and even what advice you might have , I have both ears open. Also, if there is a particular sorority that you might know of that might have a member/ members my age, I would love to find out which they are.
I will be attending UNC Charlotte and at this moment cannot recall the sororities by name. If anyone could shed some light here, I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks!

OK, let me be real here for a second... You have a son. You cannot tell me that spending time doing collegiate activites is more important than spending time with your son.
You are wanting something that you didn't get the chance to do way back when. That train has passed. Life isn't fair. I wanted to be a model, but God made me 5'4"... We all have things we regret not having the chance to do.
BUT, I am telling you that raising your son should be more important than rush activities and Grab-a-dates. ESPECIALLY if you are, as you say, working full-time, as well. Flat out-- you will be cheating your son in order to be a kid again.

But, I TOTALLY gave her wrong info. Those dorms are SOOOO last year.
And, for clarification's sake, the reason why I said what I said about the population of UNCC is that every alum of UNCC I personally know went there as a non-Trad, and when I go to concerts there, 99.99999999% of the band/orchestra/choir's hometowns are listed as Charlotte, NC/Matthews, NC/Concord, NC/Lake Norman, NC. Plus, the dorms are disproportionate to the number of students at a typical State 4-year school.
