I myself am questioning the Kirstie Alley thing (and I'm the one who posted it).

When I was pledging and they told us all of the famous Kappas, I didn't remember hearing this one, but someone at work (who is also a Kappa) told me that Kirstie Alley was a KKG. She showed me a website (not a KKG website) that listed Kirstie as a Kappa.

I'll have to ask her what website that was; when I find out, I'll post it.

So funny that DG, GPhiB, and Kappa are all claiming Kirstie--who knew she was so popular? (I didn't!)

Okay, for all those interested, here is the site she got the Kirstie Alley thing from:
http://www.rider.edu/users/greeks/famous.htm

I think that it just looks like Kirstie Alley is a Kappa because of the way it is formatted:

"Kirstie Alley, Candice Bergen (Kappa Kappa Gamma)"

But if you followed that logic, you would think that Sarah Jessica Parker was a TKE:

"Sarah Jessica Parker, Brad Pitt, Elvis Presley (Tau Kappa Epsilon)"

So I am retracting my statement that Kirstie Alley is a KKG--she's the only one on the list that I was unsure of! Now I'm going to make my Kappa co-worker take me out to lunch for making me look like a dork on this bulletin board!!!

Oh, Kappa Kappa Kappa Gamma,
I'm so happy that I am a
Kappa Kappa Kappa Gamma,
Nobody knows . . . how
happy I am!

Well, for the record - I've never heard that Kirsty Alley was a Chi Omega. So, we can rule that out!

Wow! That's quite a list! And no one saw Suzanne Sommers on a list, anywhere? Guess she wasn't a member, then.

Miami brings up the Supreme Court:
At one point in the sixties and seventies, two of the seven sitting members of the Court were Delts:

Justice Tom Clark who was also International President of the Fraternity at the time and Justice William Brennen.

It is legend that Mr. Justice Clark was so paranoid about the very special jeweled badge of the presidency that he kept it locked up in a vault at the Supreme Court Building. I guess that's secure.

Delt also claims a Nobel Prize winner, some astronauts, the current president of GM, the founder of Fudruckers, the author of Forest Gump and the presidents of Ohio State University, The University of Northern Colorado and Bethany College among other notables.

We also have a number of politicians -- but why mention them?

By the way, these are all initiated members who went through the entire process. We don't have honorary members that I'm aware of.

Dr. Condoleeza Rice spoke at our national convention -- I'm waiting to see her golden lyre badge on camera since she is a very active alum. If anyone sees it, please let me know! She also has crystal lyre bookends in her office which were a gift from Nationals.
