(Weirder)
My older sister and her daughter went from oceanfront living in Sunset Beach to Jackson Hole/Grand Tetons, working in resorts. Beachbrats turned cowgirls, flip flops for cowboy boots. Since they have moved there: my sister hit an elk and wrecked her car, my niece hit a patch of black ice, flipped her truck, totalled it and broke her wrist, and same niece just tumbled down icy stairs, faces knee surgery this week. I think they were safer in the sand.
Part of Texas I'd like to forget, that long haul west taking you through El Paso. That end of the state, not pretty.

This thread has me singing the states song! "The United States the United States, I love my country the United States..." and then the alphabetical list of the states.
And I heart the New Yorker cover. So so so true!

I don't know that one, but it reminded me of the Animaniacs! So cute. They have songs for countries of the world and the 50 states and their capitals... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNUDDaEOvuY
