First wedding: "Always" by Atlantic Starr (barf)
Second wedding: "All I Ask" from Phantom of the Opera, which was much more creative... I'm not sure I've heard it at another wedding as the first dance.
My Daddy/Daughter dance at both was "Color My World" by Chicago, one of my dad's favorite songs. I never considered myself "Daddy's Little Girl" and wasn't going there with that song. My relationship with my dad wasn't typical until the last 10 years or so.

FI and I thought about doing "All I Ask" from Phantom for our first dance. It was actually a really tough pick between that and the one we ended up deciding on ("Come what May" from Moulin Rouge). Our last dance at the reception will be "Thank You" by Dido.

My b/f and I have been together for 2 years, but I really doubt any engagement will happen soon.
One song of ours its "Somewhere Out There" from the movie "American Tail" by James Ingram and Linda Ronstadt. 3 months after we started dating, he was going to India for 3 months for a Hindi language program, and I was spending the summer in New Orleans doing an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer program. One night before he left he showed me this song and was like these lyrics are what I think of when as we're going to be apart this summer. As a surprise I went and downloaded the song and put it on a CD to give to him right before he left.
There's a couple of other songs that I love, and sometimes, yes I am into the sappy love songs. Some of my favorites have already been mentioned on here. Others I like are "How Did I Fall In Love With You" by the Backstreet Boys, "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain, "This I Swear" by Nick Lachey, "I Could Fall In Love" by Selena, or "It's Your Love" by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

You do have to dance to it, right? So why would "At Last" be a starkly better choice than, say, "Digital Love" by Daft Punk, which is actually a much more appropriate 'love song' for the occasion? It's like theknot.com has turned every f-ing wedding I go to into the exact same lame doppelganger party. I'll take the chicken, by the way.

I would have gone with "What's Your Fantasy?" by Ludacris.

Stunningly, that's already been suggested in this thread - and it's definitely worth another post, too.
Other great options include "Momma I'm So Sorry" by Clipse, "Lapdance" by NERD, and just straight-up Rickrolling your wedding during the first dance.

Yeah, I know the folks behind the original suggestion, so I figured I'd bump it for old times.
I think "Single Ladies (put a ring on it)!" would be an excellent choice as well. With choreography.

This is an even better idea if any exes are invited.
Plus the bridesmaids would absolutely go apeshit, which is always good for, well, me. Remind me in advance not to split a hotel room at that wedding, OK?

You know what I think would be great? That Ella Fitzgerald and Louie Armstrong duet, "Let's Call The Whole Thing Off."

I am obsessed with Phantom of the Opera, so should I ever find the right guy, fat chance given my track record, I would want "All I Ask of You" to be our first dance. If not that, then Billy Joel's "Just the Way You Are" or, yes KSUViolet, "Broken Road."

I know the rickroll is old meme but I could guarantee that if it happened at my wedding, more than half the guests would "get it."
Probably not all of my friends, but live-in's definitely.
