Not exactly. Public prayer for the purpose of being seen by others is condemned. The admonition in the Sermon on the Mount to pray in private is preceeded by: "Beware practicing your piety before others in order to be seen by them; for then you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. . . . And when you pray, do not stand like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others."
Query whether praying in your car is public praying, even if you know that cameras are recording it.
Regardless, it did not endear me to them.

The Brown Family annoys me to no end. Quite possibly more than the Fogals. I was upset to see that they got to stay on and beat out the Hanlons because they only got back in the game because of a technicality. I'm gonna miss the Hanlons, they were great. I hope they bring them back for the finale or something.

I ALWAYS forget the show is on... and once again, missed most of it. I caught the last 15 minutes, and was surprised to see the Brown family still in it.
Why were they reinstated?

I think it was shitty that they got to stay in by default, but the Hanlons would have been the last team to figure out the lock combinations anyways, so they would have gone home last night either way. I don't like how someone said that the Genuis team figures clues and puzzles out in 2 seconds, because it was the Hanlon kid that turned the lights out and revealed the glow in the dark clues. Josh was way smarter than his redneck dad and uncle.
Poor Air Force has to work with the Fogels because no one else will. I think they were stupid to sit there and argue with the Chowderheads though because it ended up screwing them in the end, because Boston and one other team got to the dock before them. If the Air Force team would have just left the cemetary right after they saw the lanterns, they could have been the first team to get the ticket for the boat. Come on Air Force, you're not going to win if you get in petty fights with the other teams.

If I had been in the first or second team to arrive at the boats I would have suggested teaming up together. That way the two teams would have a half hour lead over everyone without any worries of another team being "hot on their heels".
I'm glad the Hanlons are gone. While the kid was a decent guy and not an idiot, he could not make up for his father and uncle. I'd rather listen to anohter week of the Brown's complaining than the Hanlons.

i think the previous week's episode comes on an hour before the new episode starts.
why was the air force team arguing about people teaming up against them? they were the ones who got there first and left because they thought they got the right answer. the other teams got there together and had to team up for the two locations.
i wonder how long it takes for them to figure out the clues? i probably would not have figured out the lanterns clue as fast and would probably have sugested digging up graves to see if things were buried, lol.

The Grad students team (3 girls) had to drop out of the race, because one of them injured her knee and was trying to continue on crutches. They finally realized that they were doing more harm than good, so they quit. The Browns were the last to be eliminated, so they got to rejoin. I am not thrilled, because they are among my least favorite. But I am sure glad the Hanlons are gone. Talk about annoying!

Ohhhh! OK thanks. I did see one of the grad students get hurt. My heart went out to her because knee injuries are so painful. She's probably facing knee surgery. They definately did the right thing by pulling out.
Yes, agree with you on the Hanlons... annoying! Hope the prayer people go soon too!

why did they go out on the boat? did they have to go and get something? or was it just a symbolism?

They needed to go on the boat to get to another box that either had a key to the next box or the next artifact. I'm not that sure. I really hope that the geniuses don't leave your friend Sam behind.

That Kadie Fogel is the most freakin whiny annoying drama queen ever. I wish America could vote her off. She was crying like someone was stabbing her or something. I was praying...that she would shut up!
I bet the Geniuses will leave poor Sam. And I predict that it will come back and bite them when the next part of the competition requires 3 team members somehow. Like any team that left member behind would be at a disadvantage because they have fewer people. I just have a feeling there will be some sort of twist like that.
I wonder if the Browns will have to drop out like the Grad Students? I wonder if they will give us an update on how that grad student girl is.

hmmm........they only had like three boxes to open and each time i saw all three teammates there to open it together. i guess i will have to catch the re-run before the new episode starts next week. i really think its a symbolism of what the slaves had to do. to have someone go ahead, then come back to get the others. the host did say it would put the team 3 hours ahead or be behind 3 hours of the others.
i hope they dont leave Sam behind either. he is one of the coolest person i know. he wouldnt give me the results when i talked about the show with him . however, i think i saw the team in future episodes in paris. who knows.........

was I the only one that enjoyed watching all of them stumble around the swamps of South Carolina?? I grew up not very far from G-town, having been in that sort of situation before I found it hilarious watching someone else have to do it.
