Thanks. I edited my post above while you were posting.

While they are separate, according to Central State's webpage, they are an offspring of Wilberforce.

No. There are catholic schools, christian schools, french schools, everything out there. It's a normal part of the American way of life.

So yes, it's just you.

Yes, and LXA Chapter is doing very well at N C A & T. Thank You.

HBCS were set up to Educate Blacks when they were not accepted in So Called White Colleges, normally State Colleges or other Colleges because of the Times in Our History!

So now, I wonder why some are so excited when S0 Called Historically White Organizations Colonize on these schools when it was alright for HS Black Organizations to Colonize on other Schools and dont really say to much about that?

So, who really promotes Racisim?

I know this will come as a shock, but I'm in complete agreement.
(So, do you want to change your mind?)

A historically caucasian organization being chartered at an HBCU is different from an NPHC (or other black org) being chartered at a "white" school.

First and foremost, the black greek movement began at Cornell, which is not an HBCU.

If one views HBCUs as monuments to black culture and tradition, then I can understand why a supporter of HBCUs would get up in arms about it. I don't necessarily agree, but I do understand.

I mean, it's not like they are being founded because white students have SUCH a hard time at HBCUs that they need their own support system. Not do they face discrimination in society to the extent that they NEED the networking and support that fraternal organizations and GLOs provide.

But..... I feel like we've gone that route before on this board, so I'll just hush now.

Why are you so stuck on drilling this point in? Is it partially because you have very limited experience and knowledge of HBCUs? Serious questions. We are talking about HBCUs (that are state schools) right now. We are not talking about the LXA at NC A&T (or even the PIKE at HU).

I assumed the OP meant public rather than private institutions.

I would say Virginia State. I might have gone there, had they had my major. That ruled them out though.
