All public figures in NO are idiots...

Chocolate or not, they were all idiots after the Katrina biatch slap... And yeah, she biatch slapped that area...

Guess I've been watching too many pimpin' shows to be Comcastic...

At any rate, I took Mayor Willy Wonka Nagan's Chocolate Factory comment to mean that he was upset about the undocumented workers who have come to rebuild the area. Although quite stupid for him to say it because if he had handled this natural disaster with much more finesse, he would probably be put in the political limelight of the likes he has never seen--i.e. Senator nomination... But because he is trying to be down with the homies, and not trying to play the game, and put biatches on the track--really 'cuz he's NOT PIMPIN' (that's a side discussion)--then it doesn't suprise me he'd say something like what he said. Yeah it's bigotted, and stupid, but, he let those "folks" get him to be exasperated, rather than P.I.M.P. it out.

I tell yah, I would not be down with the homies right now. I'd be about hookin' up with General Honore and gettin' chit hooked up tight. Folks can bitch and moan and groan, but then, I'd be pullin' up my sleeves tryin' to make my city work... EFF the dumb...

I'd be tryin' to get my former service personnel outta duty to hep out the area--given that most of them rather be facin' lost alligators, snappin' turtles and water moccasians than havin' legs blown off by IED's anyday... And I wouldn't take no for an answer.

And to be blunt and EFF up as it sounds, I'd be puttin' marshall law into effect everyone has fully functional public utilities.

And as far as who gets what rebuilt. We'll and jacked up as this sounds, we're a capitalist society and we like to gamble, so why don't we just put that chit on a floating casino and let MF's lottery it out... The rest can be put into environmental clean up... Sink some of that crap to rebuild that reef so another hurricane doesn't blast thru there and flood chit up like it did last time... NO needs to consider is "NATURAL RESOURCES", too. And there are some good ones...

I'm beginning to believe--and this is from a professional viewpoint as well as a "I watch the news" one--that New Orleans will never be rebuilt. The only things that will remain will be what those of us who are not native New Orleanians have seen: the French Quarter, Garden District, Bourbon Street, etc.

Nagin's comments, despite whatever good intentions he may have had, reduce his credibility even more than before and reduce the possibility that his city will be what it was before.
