AKA2D, where did you buy your Zen from? do you have a website?
I'm looking to get an Ipod Mini for my sister for the holidays and something for myself. My brother has a Dell DJ and it seems to work well, but I'on know much about them.

I got mine from Amazon.com. Today, I looked at Bestbuy.com and circuitcity.com just to compare prices. You can too.
Another site: shopzilla.com
Good Luck!

I just bought the 2G iPod nano last week. I have a pretty sizable CD collection so I'm transferring a lot of music over to the iPod (about 150 songs so far). There is nothing like hearing what you want when you want to hear it.
I had a minor issue with the earbuds that came with it (they wouldn't stay in my ears) but I bought "inserts" I guess you'd call them from Radio Shack and it's all good now.

I got myself an iPod mini (4GB) about a year and a half ago. I've read user feedback indicating that they are fragile, so I bought a case at the same time. I've never had a problem (knock on wood).
I got an iPod nano as a birthday gift for my husband a few months ago. Got the free engraving. I think his unit only holds 1GB, but he's never complained - it's plenty of room if you manage your playlists and podcasts right.
If you're in school, definitely go for the educational discount.
Apple ships via Fedex, signature required at time of delivery, so be sure to have your iPod delivered somewhere someone can sign for it. Apple does NOT warn you of this when you place your order. I got burned by this...

treated myself/caved in to the 30GB iPod.
i dont have that much music!!!!
p.s GET A PROTECTIVE CASE!!! my screen cracked after something fell on top of it. i was fortunate to have the person at the Apple store replace it for me, when he shouldnt have.
and yes, i hopped on my student discount. $30 off, which essentially made it tax-free.

Ahhh so I did invest in an mp3 player. After much debate, I kissed the educational discount goodbye with Apple iPod and bought a Philips GoGear instead. I.LOVE.THIS.THING! Although mine got sick and I had to ship it back to Philips, they offered me a no hassle exchange. This model holds 6GB but they also offer one that holds 30GB. The 6GB holds about 2500 songs and goes for $199 at Wal-Mart and other retailers.

I got my 5th gen 30GB from macmall.com. They have frequent rebates so you can get some accessories for little or nothing.

I treated myself and bought an iPod nano this week! I'm so excited. It's the newer 1GB iPod, it will hold about 250 songs - which is enough for me. I'm so excited!! I just need to figure out how to get my songs on it....there are some other songs I have on musicmatch jukebox and on napster that I'm trying to figure out how to transfer to my iPod. The only way I see doing that is to burn a disk and then upload them in iTunes.

I work for Apple. I hope everyone has Applecare because they do not play about returns and tech support. You get charged for everything. And if you deside to get it engraved all sales are final. Just some advise. Hit me up it anyone has questions.
