Do I hear Labor Day? Mistermadly and I were thinking of heading down to Seattle for Bumbershoot... It'll be nice to have some fun before recruitment starts up here.
Oy.

Yeah folks, I live near good ole Microsoft... Been there fore ~2.5 years. It's my husband's fault...
And yes, I moved to Dallas, Texas for a year, then got married--mainly 'cuz I'ma West Coast gal at heart... Thought many things about the West Coast, and I was wrong about the PacNW... It's not all Starbucky as everyone sez it is in SoCal.
But I am a SoCalifornian till the day I die... Won't give up my license, won't give up my license, won't give up my license...
Although, what is up with the "La-La-La--Peace and Loveliness" up here? It's like dayum if I was evil and wanted to take over the world, I could start right here...
And yeah, I might be down for a GC PacNW party... But y'all gonna havta put it in Seattle or on the Eastside--'cuz I ain't takin' a ferry, just yet... Now, if you talk about Tulalip Casino, I might be down for that... But, y'alls driving skillz up here--it's like dayum--it ain't Huge Texas style--and not Crazy Californian style--it's rather weird and indescribable...

If you want to talk about drivers, can we talk about the non-driving mickey fickeys on the road in Vancouver? For the love of Mike, I swear these people got their drivers licenses out of a box of Cracker Jack.
And the Tulalip Casino actually sounds like fun!

Girl, you ain't kidding about Vancouver!
Tulalip is gorgeous since it was redone. I used to live in Everett about 10 minutes from Tulalip
They also have the new Seattle Prime Outlets next to Tulalip Casino

No one said anything about a ferry.............
But Tulalip isn't too much of a drive from my house so you could all crash here if you aren't allergic to cats and don't mind the floor.
I'm up for something on Labor Day, I'll be around. Not going to Bumbershoot though. No job anymore and it's not cheap.......
I would most definitely be up for Tulalip.

Evite, anyone? And since it's your house SmartBlondeGPhiB, and you know the area, maybe you can be the ringleader?
I'll bring the gewurztraminer... and the moonshine.

Ok, those who are interested pm me with your email address(Jill1228, KunjaPrincess and kdonline I have yours) and I will put together an evite to send out.
It sounds like most would like the Tulalip Casino so that's what it is.
What day is better Saturday or Sunday (then there's still Mondy to recover or get home)?
Those coming from Seattle and the eastside can meet at a Lynnwood Park n Ride and carpool up there.........
Do we want to meet at Tulalip then go to my house, or meet up at my house and go to Tulalip from there?

I was raised here too (in Everett/Marysville, WA), and I also go to the U of Puget Sound in Tacoma!!! I'm a Theta there. Wow... I can't believe that there are so many of us from this area.

I think I'd like to start at the Casino and then wind down at your house, if that's okay.
Saturday is a better day for me, because Seattle -> Vancouver isn't a difficult drive, but it is three plus hours, and I'm a relatively new driver. Plus, if I went down on Saturday, I'd still have Sunday and Monday to spend with Mistermadly.
