Read "He's Just NOt that Into You".
It reallly is a quick and easy read, and it makes you remember you're a fabulous person and you don't need to waste your time with someone who is too dumb to realize that

How come the hurt girl is always a fabulous person?
Sometimes I think . . . maybe the guy is a wonderful person who had to leave a less wonderful one?

Well guys, I survived the first month. Can't believe it's been that long! Thanks for all the advice. The no contact rule, as much as it stinks, is the best.

I knew of this guy in high school with a habit of picking up girls on the rebound. His theor was "The best way to get over one man is under another." Based on my observations of his hookups, that works for about 2 hours.
What works long term:
-NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER
-Working out
-Going out with girlfriends and flirting shamelessly (but ALWAYS make sure you go home alone and your friends hold you to that)
-the 4 horsemen (Jack, Jim, Jose, and Bud*)
-NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER
-Burning stuff is fine, but it kinda makes me feel like a bitch.
-Massages, girls' nights, pedicures, etc.
-Exotic vacations (or at least to the next state)
-NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER
*Bud=Budweiser/Bud Lite, not marijuana.

It doesn't have anything to do with how fabulous either person is. It's usually just not the right combination and you see this over time, when the hurt is gone and you can look back at it objectively. I have to laugh about some of the men I was heart broken over back in high school/college or even a few years ago.
