Thank you for all the support! I'm sooo ready for it to be 10 o'clock right now!! It's about 45 minutes until the 1st party starts... and I'm getting very anxious!! I came into this whole thing with one sorority in mind, but now that I've got to talk to the girls from all of the houses, I've definitely decided to open my mind ! I'm so glad that I don't have to sign a bid until Friday... at least that will give me some time to review my notes and weigh each ones 'total package' fairly. Well, I'm going to go finish gettitng ready to go... (calming myself down, etc. ). Tonight will *HOPEFULLY* be a new beginning for me!!

I have a question. Can more than on group offer you a bid since it is informal. lets say all four call you can you then decide which one or can only one offer you a bid?
Good luck on tonight, you are getting ever so closer to finding you home. You are very lucky, I hope those groups know they are too.

Usually that is the way informal works - since no one is keeping track of what member is visiting what parties, in theory all sororities could offer a PNM a bid. I've seen it happen before. You just accept the bid that you want, and respectfully decline the others

They told us that when we received the calls, we wouldn't have to give them an answer right then if we thought we might be getting more calls. So, yes I could receive a bid from all 4 houses. If that were to happen to me, I would definitely have to think about it... It was overwhelming last night, so I can take a step back for a breather...
QUESTION:
Is it ok if I forgot a couple of the greeter's names? I remember faces, but names... (they didn't have name tags on.... I don't think :S )

Just say you are horrible with names and go "oh hi, umm oh I forgot you name, sometime I forget my own, silly me"
works every time for me.
Or ask them how they spell their name, or some thing along those lines.

Good luck!!!!!! I'm glad as the week went on, you were more open to the other houses. May you find your home in Sheep, Cow, Chicken or Pig! (That sounds kind of funny, doesn't it!)
I'm sure they'll understand if you don't remember everyone's names! They've probably been in the same situation!

Ok! I'm kind of disappointed. The house that I liked the most (overall: sisterhood, friendship, scholarship, philanthropies, social) has not contacted me. I don't know if I should ask why or not! It's also COB week, so should I get in touch with someone to let them 're-evaluate' me or something??
On the other hand:
I received a bid from the following houses:
The Chickens
The Cows
The Pigs
So, 3 outta 4 ain't bad! I enjoyed 2 of the 3 ---I felt more comfortable there... but I felt the most at home with the sheep! I told the 3 that did extend bids, that I would have to think about my decision, and that I would get back to them!

Wow. Congratulations on getting 3 bids.
As to whether or not you should keep trying with the sheep, I would say to let it go. One of two things has happened with this group.
1. They liked you, but don't have enough open spaces to offer you a bid.
2. For whatever reason, they don't think you are a good fit with their chapter.
Which ever reason it is that they didn't give you a bid last night, its unlikely that it will change this week. What you do have is bids from 2 houses that you liked and were comfortable at, who liked you enough to ask you to be their sister.
