I agree wholeheartedly with everything that everyone has said! I am so proud to be an ADPi and there are just so many reasons!
-- We have an amazing sisterhood. This past year, one of my chapter sisters (and best friends) lost her aunt to cancer. ADPi got 3 teams together to do Relay For Life. During the luminary ceremony, they read her aunt's name, and she burst into tears. Every ADPi there gathered around her and we all just hugged. Pretty soon we were all crying because it's so good to know that even though we aren't all best friends, we are SISTERS, and we really do live for each other.
-- We have a beautiful ritual and a beautiful pin. I love to wear my pin to chapter and know the meaning behind it!
-- Our new member program is so well-rounded and inclusive! I love how we embrace our Alphas from the very beginning and let them be a part of it all!
-- The leadership opportunities are endless. From holding a position, to being on Exec, to being a Pride leader, to being a Diamond Sister...we learn things that will help us in the future!
-- Our philanthropy does such great things for children and their families all over the country. "The house that love built" ...couldn't be a better fit! From cleaning the house, to doing yardwork, to making dinner for the families, it's all so worthwhile and a great cause.
-- We were the FIRST sorority...now
that's something to be proud of! First and Finest!
-- I see about 5 ADPis everytime I walk across campus...always someone to say hi to!
-- We are so well-rounded and unique. I've already learned so much from my sisters! One lived in Germany and since my heritage is strongly German, we talk about it a lot! We have (at least) one girl who is Jewish and another one who is Muslim that gave an educational talk at chapter! So interesting!
-- Another example of how we Live for Each Other...My Diamond Sister studied abroad in Spain second semester. While she was there, she had one of her good friends be my "adoptive" Diamond Sister and watch out for me! She sent me e-mails all the time to see what I was up to. Now I am going to Spain in a year and I already have a place to live. The host mom she stayed with has hosted many students from my school, most of them being ADPis. In fact, the Spanish host mom has requested that ADPis live with her!
....and so much more! Yay ADPi
