BOTH!
My hair has some natural waviness to it so I get the best of both worlds. I can wear it straight pretty easily so I don't have to use tons of product and straightening irons.
I also can dab some gel on it and get a loose wave too.
The only thing I hate is when I wear it straight and the humidity makes it go gaga!

I have very straight hair. It's brown with some natural highlights. Like a stupid person, I cut 8 inches off of it last year after my ex and I split up. It's slowly growing back out. It's a couple of inches past my shoulders.
Do I like it? It's ok. Everyone has always said I had the best hair, but I'm not sure it's that great!!

I have really thick slightly wavy dark blonde hair with white-blonde and carmel highlights. It's in a shoulder-length cut with lots of layers and is really pretty - as long as someone else does it. I can't do hair!

I just recently discovered that my hair is not naturally straight like I previously thought it was and I actually have really pretty curls if I just let my hair air dry after putting some gel in it! It is dark brown, layered, and it just skims my shoulders. I want to grow it out b/c I think I look best with my hair up and longer hair means it's easier to put up, so......but we'll see.
However, I like this curly look, so now I am all about putting a little gel in my hair and letting it air dry. But before this I would blow dry my hair every single day and then curl it with hot curlers usually to get it real curly and then I'd put it up. Stupid I know to go through all that just to pull it up, but hey, I'm weird what can I say?

I currently have short, dark brown curly hair. I dont like having curly hair now, bc I have learned a valuable lesson: if you have naturally curly hair, dont get it cut short - you will only look like mike brady. I dont wear it curly, I spend tons of time pulling it out smooth.

Mine is light mahogany chestnut (that is the shade I use) with major brunette roots showing. It is long but it could go curly or straight depending upon what I do with it.

I am a wavy kind of girl! I blow-dry it straight after I shower most of the time. Sometimes, when it's yucky outside or I am having a lazy day, I put gel in my hair and just let it air dry. I am a medium brunette, with blonde highlights. My hair falls just below my shoulders (it was longer, but I cut it last week to get ready for the summer).
Sometimes I wish I had really dark, straight almost-black hair. But my complexion wouldn't work well with that, so I settle for what I have. I am a typical female...I always want what I can't have

I have hair that goes a little past my shoulders and is naturally curly, but I straighten it every time I wash it. I use a flat iron because I never could quite master the round brush
I highlight my hair. It is naturally a very dark brown, but I highlight it with a light brown/dark blonde and it looks so much better! My natural brown is a blah brown!

Well my hair is supposed to be really dark brown (a shade or two lighter than black) but the Florida sun has made it somewhere between a medium and dark brown, closer to medium. I grew out all the layers and it's just above my shoulders. It's curly but not the fun curly... more like kinks, so I have to blow dry it straight every day.
So can I ask some hair advice?
1. Does anyone know how to scrunch and make the big, beautiful curls?
2. The sun has really dried out my hair. I try using shampoo for dry/damaged hair and ThermaSilk every day, and I just recently started using a leave-in conditioner, but it's still fairly dry. Even not blow-drying it doesn't seem to help. Are there any conditioners or anything you know of that can make my hair normal?

I really like TIGI Bed Head Products. There is one called "Moisture Maniac" that might help you out - there's a shampoo and a conditioner.

Hmm... it's not like 18 bucks per bottle, right? If it is, I better have a freakin barrel of it!

straight hair, though I spike it using 'ice' - supposedly one of the strongest styling glues...needed because my hair is extremely thick

I think it is $22 for the shampoo and conditioner together...and you do get a barrel - the bottles last me at least a year.

I have long curly red hair that when styled looks great (like Nicole Kidman) but I don't have an hr to style it everyday so I am thinking about doing the Japanese straightening treatment.

LOL, now I'm imagining lugging a barrel into the shower with me, and not having room to move.
Sorry, I'm bored at work and easily entertained.
