I'm working through my school's Shepherd Poverty Program at a women's shelter in Washington, DC. And getting my wisdom teeth out.

i became a teacher so that i could have summers off!! of course the last 4 years, i worked in a residential, full year school....i was lucky if i was able to get 2 weeks off in the summer! now that i am in the public school world, i am working at the pool all summer!!! i might get another part time job bc i am currently poor, but we will see. i am also going to take many trips to pennsylvania to see friends and family. nothing too exciting this year, but i am hoping to save up money so that in a few summers, i will be able to go to europe!!!

Yeah, I'll be working all summer, too. Hopefully, I will also be moving far far away!

I just sent out 50 resumes to PR firms in the area, trying to score another internship. If I don't get SOMETHING, I'll cry.
If I don't find an internship, I'll probably just continue helping out at the internship I have now, take a class, and get a job at this bagel shop where like half my sisters work. How crazy would that be. I hope the manager knew what he was getting himself into...

oooh! New summer development! I'm heading to San Juan Capistrano with my boyfriend and his family. I've never been - anyone have tips for what to do out there?
Anyway, I'm pumped for some beach time. I already picked up some cute sandals at Payless this weekend for about $10. Can't beat that. They're so adorable - with with a corkheel and a glittery red star on the front.

Just to reiterate...I will be sitting at home in Chicago planning revenge against the stupid ass teacher who lost my PR internship applications. All others bitter and hateful are welcome to join me.
