Greetings,
I am not a man of ALPHA, but have grown continually interested in the faternities origin and it's connection to that of Prince Hall Masonry of which affiliatoin I hold. Keeping with the topic at hand, I found out my father whom I did not grow up with is an Alpha Man. I am 29 and live in Balto.,MD. I went to the Nat'l HQ to check the roll and I found out my father crossed at Lincoln University ,PA 1968-NU Chapter. This helped raise my zeal for membership. Then following, I read the history book from the Shomburg library in NY. I learned how the other frats became off shoots of Alpha (ie. Kappa chapt. of A PHI' Tap Day weeding out sigma and pointdexter helping Q). Though most importantly your Seven Jewels had the first meetings at the Odd Fellows lodge. Leading to them being masons. An as I continue my travels in masonry I have observed all the , signs, symbols and allegories of Alpha (ie. the Sphinx, and the Ape etc.) in my numerous initiations in the blue lodge and the Holy Royal Arch (degrees of masonry if your not familiar). Keeping all this in mind I can't see being apart of a any other SON of the father of all fraternities (Prince Hall Masonry) then ALPHA PHI ALPHA since it is apart of my familiy tree by my father's rite and my current affiliation.

I am not a man of Alpha, but have recently found that my father pledged Alpha at Lincoln University, PA 1968 NU chapter. I am a member of Prince Hall Freemasonry in Balt.,Md and in my travels towards the LIGHT I see the direct link of A PHI to Prince Hall Masonry with the 7 Jewels being apart of the Odd Fellows lodge and inparticula the allegory of the ape, and signs.
So my father's and myown fraternal affiliation holds me to a double tie to pledge the only recognized SON of Prince hall Masonry...ALPHA PHI ALPHA Hope I'm amongst the chosen.

My last post seemed to raise question from knowledge eternal. Please remember Iam not a memeber of a BGLO, only aspiring to be. Information I have was aquired by myself and speaking to others. By all means if comments are wrong, as a memeber of this ancient initiate system of ours you should be duty bound to correct me. In masonry we say "during your leisure hours you are to converse w/ well informed Brethren, who will be always as ready to give, as you will be to receive instruction.
Harmony being the support of all institutions.

I understand. I will research and find out myself.
