The Body Fantasies commercial. It comes on 40xs a day on TLC. It only happens around Christmas. I have never ever felt that some nasty, stank, drugstore body spray will be my "rebirth."

I also hate the ones for "Bod" that show up around Christmas. "MMM, I want your Bod..." Didn't people stop talking like that in 1986?

There's one for Hancock fabrics that was coming on TLC daytime about 50 times a day a few weeks ago. There was this woman that kinda looked like she belonged to one of those religious groups that requires the women to keep their hair long and wear the long jean skirts. She was just waaaay too enthusiastic about fabric. "Hancock Fabric...we're fabric and SO much more" Yeah, because we all know how exciting sewing notions are. Plus, when she said "so" her eyes popped out of her head. Creepy.

Lately, I've been hating the Toys R Us commercial where Geoffery the Giraffe calls stores and asks if they have certain toys and then says really loudly "WELL WE DO"

This commercial obnoxious or annoying. It's the way that they used the background song that bothers me.
I think it's a Ralph Lauren commercial. They show all these models showing off the clothing. The song in the background is Creedance Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son". The only part of the song they play is the beginning where they sing "Some folks are born made to wear the flag. Red, white and blue...." as if to play off the whole 'American' image. If they would've included more than that first verse in their commercial than viewers would realize that it's a very anti-war and, in some ways, anti-American song. The song is about how people who have money or family members of status won't be drafted while they American government will draft those without those resources. I just think Polo used the wrong song to personify this pro-American image.

I hate any commercials for attorneys. I feel pain for my entire profession if I am ever unfortunate enough to view one. Yes, I'm going to call 1-800-INJURED right now. Then I'm going to call Peter Francis Geraci's Bankruptcy {{{INFO}}} Tapes. Egads.

I hate:

--ALL the Geico commercials, ESPECIALLY the ones with the damned stupid gecko!!

--the Cottonelle commerials where they keep zooming in on people's butts and say, "GET CLEAN WHERE IT REALLY MATTERS!!" Yuck!!!

--the napkin commercial where the boy keeps wiping his face and throwing the dirty napkins in this huge nasty pile

--the denture commercials that say, "works 75% better!" and the small print says, "versus using no adhesive." Well, duh!

--the soup commericals that makes fun of condensed soup. I love me some Campbell's vegetable beef soup!! So screw you and your fancy uncondensed soup. LOL

All the anti-pot and smoking ads get on my nerves. I had a friend OD in high school and I have sereve asthma so I don't do either. But still, like half the kids I know that smoke pot their parents do it with them. Or they lie to their parents about calling and stuff. That calling to check in stuff doesn't work. The ads only get made fun of.

About the Polo one. I kinda think that the flag thing is a clever advertising slogan for Ralph Lauren, but I get what you're saying about the true meaning behind the song. I guess to someone who's never really heard the song or know the meaning, it would work.

Ok. I love how I stay up at night, and try to find something on TV, but the only thing that's on?

For the love of God.... does it need to be on EVERY channel?

Just thought of some more. In the Metro Detroit area, there's the "Victory Honda" chick... even our radio station was dissin her. Then there was this campaign ad for Mike Cox (saying outloud kinda fast). They just kept sayin his name over and over again, but I kinda had to laugh.

have you all seen the new one for "oxy power", some oxygen based cleaner. there's this hispanic lady who YELLS, in a very think accent, "IT HAS OXYGEN POWER!!!". i don't know why but i cringe every time i hear it because it's like 10 decibels above the rest of the commercial, which is bad to begin with.

RONTFLMAO!!!!!! Whenever the Hancock fabrics commercial comes on my roommate runs into my room, strikes a sexy pose in my doorway and says in her most lustful voice; "We're fabrics; and sooooo much more!" She cracks me up.

A while back there was a snuggle fabric softner commercial where this porcupine (sp) pretends he is "snuggly soft"....and the woman refueses to touch him "I will not".....very disturbing commercials!

Any laxative commercial....gross!

Blahahah my thoughts exactly!!! That commercial just had me going when I first saw it, it's soooo dumb. Other commercials I hate not b/c they're annoying but b/c they just plain freak me out and bother me are the ones for marijuana, like the one that implies a guy raping a girl, or those guys running that little girl over with the bike, or the kid shooting the other. They are just so I can't even watch them!!!

That marijuana one really pisses me off. I forget what the actual voice over is, but it basically implies that it's the girl's fault she gets raped. Never mind the fact that someone who's high can say "no" and it's still rape (you hear her telling the guy "stop" or "no" or something!! if you watch it all the way through)
I haven't seen it for awhile, I hope it got pulled.
