This is the Chi Omega house at Western Michigan University.
It is actually pretty big, it's very long. Most of the newer lots in Fraternity Village are quite narrow, so many houses are being built in this long style. The house was built in 1994.

Aww, thanks! Unfortunately, I'm an old alum (ok, only 5 years alum!), so I don't know the Bobbs? I think you mentioned to me once that you had friends there. Hope you had a good time in Kzoo!!! Did you go to the DZ house when you were there? Also a very cool house (the girls and the structure!)

1) I'm not an alumni, I'm a freshman pledge. I hope I'm not an alumni for a pretty long time. BTW - it's Doce't' boy - not Doceboy
2) Ichabod Washburn gave the school a lot of money when it was Lincoln College (named after Abraham Lincoln). Therefore, the school was renamed Washburn, and stupidly enough, the mascot became the Ichabod.
3) PSU is a good school. You beat us in football (by far...) but we just beat you in volleyball to become MIAA champs - so ha!
4) It's a very good house, and I'm enjoying it, and will hopefully be initiated in January.

I hate all of you! I can only look at these beautiful houses and wana cry. Why?
Cuz Metro Detroit SUCKS!
As I've bitched about before, we're not allowed to have sorority houses because it would be considered a brothel. Hmm.... yep cuz more than 5 un-related girls in a house would be a brothel. UGH!
I'm so jealous of you guys!

Our house was built in 1916 by Ray Stannard Baker, a Pullizter Prize winner. It became a fraternity when he died in 1947. We're on the tour of famous houses in Amherst. It sleeps 22, although we're gonna do renovations over the summer to bring that up to 26. We're really lucky- we've got a 2 1/2 acre lot, which is HUGE in Amherst- we're the only GLO with a backyard. Only bad thing about the house is we're about 1/2 a mile from the Row, and we're in the middle of a neighborhood with lots of professors' families, and we have a Mormon church for a neighbor.

ghetto house
Yes, My chapter houses the definitively most ghetto looking house of all.
if you say "wow this looks like a section of the dorms that was allocated to a fraternity as an afterthought. You're right!

No pity for any of you and your "ghetto" houses! We are currently renting a 5 bedroom house with shag carpet held together by paint and particle board. Hope to build our palace in the next 5 years or so. I'll be 28 by then... Maybe they'll name something after me

My house is over 100 years old, to the best of our knowledge. However, this is Platteville, so don't go thinking of a Tudor mansion. 3 bedrooms that were meant to be bedrooms, another small tiny bedroom that was meant to be something else, and leeches in the basement because we have no gutters! There is a gorgeous brick house on row that we want to buy, and we are absolutely determined to buy it once we're alum.

I feel your pain. It's considered a brothel in Fairfax, VA as well. We had our initiation at another chapter's house and it made me so jealous :-(
