Oh, I am soooo excited about recruitment! This fall is the first semester my chapter will have gone through formal recruitment, so we are all eagerly awaiting the wonderful experience!

I cannot wait for rush to start! Well, not really rush... I'll be joining a colony which will be having their own mini-rush after formal rush is over.

I'm too too excited for rush, and the nerves are definately getting to me! But I'm trying to stay positive.

I am really excited to go through it on the other side...I can't wait to meet tons of girls, I am just nervous about how they will react to me!! I hope the new girls are awesome, and I cannot wait to get a little!!

I can't wait for Rush! I'm so excited!!! It'll be my third time going through Rush! But, its well worth it!

I am so excited about rush. I'm also a little nervous because I'm one of the only people from my high school going to OSU. I am the only one going through rush. We have 11 sororities and rush starts on August 9th. I move into the rush dorm on August 8.

Should I make my own thread when I move to Stillwater? I'm already a little nervous but also totally excited.. I have all of my clothes and I made sure that I have at least one rec for each chapter. I'll list the chapters and what I 'm wearing if you don't mind. If anyone has a suggestion about my clothes feel free to post it.

11 party day - mandatory rush t-shirt (everyone has to wear it
and we don't know what color it is until we get
there) with khaki capris and new white stacked
sole sneakers

8 party day - a lavender capri pant outfit that I got at Harold's
it has embroidery on the cuffs and I have a pair of
strappy sandals that match

5 party day - a bright pink dress that goes to mid calf and has
side slits to a little above the knee, it has one sleeve
and a strap that ties on the other side so it's kind of
"one-armed" but it isn't at all low cut or slutty, with
strappy black sandals

3 party day - a sleeveless black dress that goes to mid calf and
strappy black heels

I know this is really detailed but I'm nervous and I love clothes. I think I'm going to major in clothing design or merchandising.

With all of my shopping lately I didn't even think of getting a new outfit for Bid Day. I figured I'd just pull something out of my closet, but now nothing seems suitable. So in a way I'm happy b/c this means I get to go shopping with a purpose again!

Anyway, I'm so on the edge of my seat here waiting for recruitment! I still have 21 days left until I get to move into the house! AHHH!

I'm SOOOOOO nervous/excited/paranoid/happy all in one! I can't wait to see what happens! Hey carnation, do you know if UofA always splits rushees into groups with a Rho Chi? I was just wondering b/c i don't know anyone and i think that it would be good to have that....just wondering.... Anyways, ya i'm "super excited about rush" too!!!!!!!!!!!! And i finally found some recs! yay!

I too am nervous about going through rush! I'll be rushing at U of Iowa this fall, and I get to move in early to my dorm Aug. 19, and rush starts Tuesday I believe. At my orientation, we had a question and answer session, and I found a little bit about greek life. There was also an information fair, and I talked to the girl that was at the booth about rush, and what was involved and what to wear, etc... I am super anxious and excited, but nervous, too, and I'm looking for stuff to wear, and thinking of questions to ask when I rush, and reading Greekchat like 23 hrs. a day for tips and information.

That's still how UA does it! I would say that my main bit of advice would be: consider all groups. Even if some girl in your group swears to everyone that "these groups over here are the only ones to join", you go by what you think!

I just found out great news about rush at my school. With 7 sororities on campus and last year only abou 100 girls started out going through formal rush (that means many dropped out) and total is 90 (I think), we have had a hard time with recruitment. Well the exciting news is that from how many girls are already signed up for recruitment (girls here sign up all the way till the first day of recruitment) and how many more are perspected, we are supposed to have a large recruitment this year. 5 years ago was the last big recruitment and this year is thought to be larger than that. *bouncy* Sorry, this is just so exciting.
