Hi,
We don't have a Beta chapter yet but are hopeful that it will happen in December or this year or January of next! Wish us luck, it will be about 1 year after our establishment!

DU was founded as the Social Fraternity at Williams College on November 4,1834. The second chapter was founded at Union College in 1838.
DU has never used the Alpha, beta etc. system of numbering chapters instesd naming chapters after the host institution.
The longest period a chapter was inactive before revival cahe at Harvard active 1880-1942 revived in 1999.

Alpha Chapter May 1st 1848
Beta Chapter June 7, 1848
Part of the short amount of time was that the founders had as one of the first agenda items on May 1, 1848 how this "association" could be venture out to more colleges and what would be that process.

Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. was founded in 1990, and Beta chapter was originally founded sometime between 4-9-1990 and 1992, when Gamma chapter was founded. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly when, because the chapter folded and then was refounded and the original info is not available. But nonetheless, it was within 2 years, and now, after 14 years, we have 74 chapters and 9 current colonies, and 11 alumnae associations. WOW

For Alpha Phi Omega, it was a little over a year. Alpha Chapter was December 16,1925 at Lafayette College. Beta Chapter was January 11, 1927 at U of Pittsburgh.

Not necessarily. Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority was formed at a meeting of eight women's service groups (some called sororities, some not) at which the letters, colors and shield were taken from various different groups who attended.

Pi Alpha Phi was founded in 1926, and their Beta Chapter was founded in 1988. That's a long time.
Our Alpha Chapter was February 20, 1994, and our Beta Chapter was established roughly a year later.

As AOX81 said our beta chapter was founded 13 years after the Alpha chapter, but the two chapters meet as one group since the schools are so close together.
