[B]Did you go to your prom?

yup.. sr year

What did you wear? Colors?

fuchia and black.. and i too had a twin. And as far as i'm concerned we both looked a hot mess. But my hair was tight... bob/a-symmetric do.. wid a splash of hardcurls.

Were you prom king/queen?

nope

Did you go with someone special or friend?

now.. i'm glad you asked about my date. That freaking loser. For starters he showed up more than 2 hrs late... it was dark outside when we got to the prom site(summer time so he was late as h*ll). I had missed dinner.. basically i had enough time to take pictures and go home. then he had a nerve to say.. "oh i thought we would stay at the hotel tonight..." yeah WHATEVER!!! 1. we weren't boy/girlfriend 2. you shoulda thought about that when your azz was at the barbershop all late and wrong instead of at my house ON TIME.

But how about i saw him about 2 years ago leaving a club with my gurl. He got married had 2 or 3 kids... and had been divorced for at least 3 years. What type of madness is that... !??!?! Mind you my prom was only in 1990. Then had a nerve to say... (in my dude voice of course) "um, i see you still got those hips..." I kindly asked him to take 3 steps back and 1 step to his left... and rolled out!!!

What was your prom theme?

If only for one night

How much did your prom cost? Some proms now have ish prices?

ROTFLMAO!!!

ok, i guess I'll answer....

Went to my prom Sr. year. My dress was white, there was no prom king (all girl school) nor was there a queen. I went with this dude I used to like in the 8th grade. I swear that had to be the most BORING event I've ever been to. I think the theme was "Wonderful Tonight" I honestly don't know. I don't know how much I spent on it either. It was a non-event for me.

Yes, both Jr and Sr

Jr prom was black and red and Sr was pink and white.
Both of my dresses (which I still have!) were tea length. Both were made by Jessica McClintock--the Gunne Sak line.

Were you prom king/queen?

Thank GOD no...

Did you go with someone special or friend?

Well, Jr prom I went with my crush, who I found out later had 2 kids by 2 different women. We had a great time though.

My Sr prom, the guy(different guy) was a jerk. He lied about the limo, lied about how much money he had for pictures, dissappeared when we got there to hang out with some of his friends. But I got him back. There was thisREALLY CUTE guy I had a HUGE crush on--a sophmore whose girlfriend was in my Sr class--asked me to dance during the prom. Mind you, my "crush" knew I liked him and we were on the track team together. He was so sweet. He saw me sitting by myself and while his girlfriend was gone chatting with her friends, he asked me to dance. We danced for 4 songs! It seemed like forever. I was floating for the rest of the night. If it wasnt for that, my sr prom would have really sucked.

What was your prom theme?

1984--Jr. was Love Me In A Special Way
1985--Sr--I can't remember

How much did your prom cost? Some proms now have ish prices?

Geeze...in the neighborhood of 65 for a couple for Sr. and I think 30-45 for the Jr.
LMAO...That's back in the day with my sister's proms (84/85). I remember she had those big "fluffy" dresses that looked like the Southern plantation antebellum time.

LOL! It is a hard word to say.

It sounds like this - ssss-klah. Like, the hissing sound of the letter "s", with "klah" afterwards. Sklah. Only one syllable.

And can't you just picture someone or something, looking all crazy, and saying, "Now that's SKLAH." The word really fits sometimes.

Feel free to add it to your local slang dictionaries, LOL.

Re: FLASHBACK to your PROM

Did you go to your prom?
May 8th, 1993
Yes and I had a horrible time. I did not want to go in the first place but my mom made me go because my boyfriend really wanted to go.

What did you wear? Colors?
I wore a black knee length chiffon and silk dress with those flared sleeves and flared out bottom. It was cute and cheap because I borrowed it from my cousin. My date wore a standard black tux.

Were you prom king/queen?
no but my future maid of honor was voted prom queen and a really good friend of ours was also made prom king.

Did you go with someone special or friend?
I went with my highschool sweetheart who is now my husband of almost seven years. We almost broke up that night. That was the worst date we ever had.

What was your prom theme?
Enchanted Forrest ("WE" had nothing to do with that mess) They decorated our gym to look like a huge "Enchanted Forrest" - I mean from trees, vines to forrest "sounds".

How much did your prom cost?
Between the both of us $200-$300.

Did you go? Yes I went.

What did you wear? I wore a royal purple dress that was velvet in the chest area and was metallic purple in the dress part.

Prom king/queen? No I wasn't. It was some lame girl named Hanna who goes to Duke now.

Did you go with someone special? Yes I went with my current significant other.

What was your prom theme? It was "These Are The Times" by Dru Hill. I wish it was "Make It Last Forever. The prom was off in the boondocks in Countryside, IL

How much did it cost? The tickets were $110. I believe I spent over $700 for the whole weekend.

PROM 2K2

My prom just passed!!! (C/o 2002)

I only attended my senior prom.

My dress was inspired by MISS TONI BRAXTON. I had it made and I think my dress looked BETTER than the original. Here's a picture of the original: http://www.xs4all.nl/~oslu/toni/gall...iBraxton13.jpg The dress was $375. The only difference was that I had the sides of the dress cut so that I could show off my abs of steel. The belly part of the dress was cut to show off my belly ring. The dress was cream instead of the original white. And i paid $88 for my shoes that I got at Ninewest.

My date: I went to the prom with my crush, now boyfriend. He didn't wear a tux he had a suit made. His suit was cream and gold and he had cream shoes.

We decided not to waste money on a limo and it would be cheaper to just take a car so we took his dad's Escalade.

No I was not prom queen, I was not nominated.

Our prom tickets were $80 a couple. And the theme was: Always and Forever.

The prom was off the hook...the after party was even better!!!

Did you go to your prom?
Yes I went to my prom which was pretty decent

What did you wear? Colors?
I had a dress made. It was a black strapless dress but the top was sheer with a high collar and sleeves and also a high split to show off the sexy legs. I paid only $90 for the dress and $15 for the shoes (black satin sandals with a rhinestone buckle) because it was on SALE at (what used to be) the Wild Pair.

Were you prom king/queen?
Actually we didn't have a prom king or queen because of the fear that a fight might break out.

Did you go with someone special or friend?
I went with my best friend and he was such a gentleman the whole night. He carried me to the limo when my feet started to hurt.

What was your prom theme?
The prom theme was called Still In Love...which really made no sense to me. I was pushing for Make it Last Forever because it's a cool theme for a prom and I am also a real Keith Sweat fan.

How much did your prom cost?
Tickets were $75 per person and the limo was about $110 per person (limo for 10 people).

Did you go to your prom?

Yes, I went my senior year.

What did you wear? Colors?

I wore a teal tube type A-line dress that suited me perfectly because I'm a little bit top heavy. It came with a shawl and my mother found it at Marshalls for only $60...yes $60!!! I had to go buy my purse and shoes and have them dyed to match my dress. They actually costed more than my dress did.

Were you prom king/queen?

Nah. My homie got it (the girl in the picture beside me in the red dress). I was on the homecoming court though.

Did you go with someone special or friend?

Nah. I went with my best friend cuz my boyfriend was in his sophomore year of college and he was triiiiiipin'

What was your prom theme?

A moment in time, or an evening under the stars...something corny like that My brother's last year was Mardi Gras and I was jealous cuz their theme and decorations were hot da def.

How much did your prom cost?

The tickets were like $25. We didn't rent a limo. My mother let me use her car. I went to McDonald's before the prom cuz I was low on funds Afterward, all my friends went to rented hotel rooms to chill. We ended up at the waffle house early in the morning. After all that, my boyfriend decided he wanted to "chill" with me

This is me in my full prom ensamble

Me and my friend before she was crowned homecoming queen
