Ok I'm soooooo sorry about the delay but I've been so busy and I just forget to update! I will do two rounds in this one post to get it over with faster.
Ok Day 2 was Philanthropy Day and we met with our Gamma Chi and got our lists that morning after a short meeting. When I got my list back I had: Giselle, Paquita, La Bayadere, Coppelia, Nutcracker, and Swan Lake. I was so happy to see I had my top six and hadn't been cut! (my sister had the same too)
Here's the day:
Swan Lake: The two main girls I talked to were so sweet and nice and really knew a lot about their philanthropy. They did a little song/skit that was really cute.
Paquita: Everyone was dressed in their philanthropy's color. It was really cute. I really liked the girls I talked to and was more into their philanthropy then SW's.
Coppelia: The first two girls were amazing and I clicked with them right away. They had amazing song/skit and I was extremely impressed. I talked to the president again that day and she was so nice.
Nutcracker: The first two girls I talked to were awesome. Then we saw a movie on their philanthropy. I didn't really click with the third girl I talked to, but she was very nice.
Giselle: The girls were so nice and I talked to the president here again. They had a very nice video and presentation. House again was very loud and hard to hear.
La Bayadere: What I liked about this house was the fact that it seemed like they had a direct hands-on feel with their philanthropy, more-so then some of the other houses. I talked to a LOT of girls...but it wasn't overwhelming at all. I had a very good time here.
Ok so it was extremely difficult and I stressed majorly but I had to drop two so I ranked them:
1. Nutcracker
2. Swan Lake
Day 3 ~ House Tour Day
We had another shot meeting with out Gamma Chi and then got our lists right after. I was ecstatic to see I had been invited back to my top four! Another day without cuts! (My sister ranked the same way as me even though we didn't discuss it and we got the same invites back!) I'd be going back to Giselle, Paquita, La Bayadere, and Coppelia.
Day 3 Rounds:
Coppelia: I loved this house! Beautiful inside and out! Once again talked to very sweet girls and the president. I started to get to know two girls I had talked to each day very well and they were awesome!
Giselle: Talked to lots of girls and the president again. She was so nice and inviting! Rooms very unique and cute.
Paquita: I had very natural conversation here and really liked the house.
La Bayadere: House tour was so impressive, not because the house was nicer or anything but the decorations were ridiculous and I could tell they put a tremendous amount of time and effort into it. I had such a good time talking to the girls too!
I had to rank two more houses to drop and I almost started crying. I really was torn and didn't know what to do but I ended up ranking like this:
1. Paquita
2. Giselle
More to come! And I promise it'll be sooner then later!

Well you still have one of my favorite ballets, but I really hope recruitment went well for you and your twin!

I'm so sorry! Just remembered I had a GC account and completely forgot to finish this post! My deepest apologies! Ok I'll try to remember Pref night the best I can....
The next day I got my list for my parties and I was going to La Bayadere and Coppelia. I was so excited to see they both had asked me back but had they not I would've been so happy to go to the other two.
Pref Parties:
La Bayadere: Beautiful pref! Gave each girl a different flower as they came into the house and then collected them all in a vase and explained how they were all individually unique but came together as a beautiful bouquet. The room was dimly lit and made for an intimate feel. We were handed a letter written by someone who got to know us over the week. At this point in the party I got very emotional and struggled to hold back my tears. The girl who wrote my letter was a stranger at the beginning of the week and by the time pref rolled around I felt like she was one of my best friends. The singing and testimonials were beautiful.
I felt sick to my stomach leaving this house. I hoped the next pref party would not be as great because I knew this was going to be an extremely difficult decision.
Coppelia: The room they took us into was breath taking!!! They did a phenomenal job of setting it up and I was amazing at how beautiful the entire place looked. I talked to several girls but mostly the two that had mainly rushed me all week. I felt so comfortable with both of them and they were so incredibly genuine. Their testimonials were good but I wished they hadn't only focused on seniors. They had one singer who was exceptional! The two girls who had rushed me wrote me two very heart felt letters they made choke up and I tried my hardest to hide my tears. One of the girls could tell how difficult of a time I was having. She asked me if I knew what I was going to do. I sort of just broke down and tried to conceal my tears but knew it was going to be nearly impossible. The girl was so genuine and reassuring, she never pressured me to say what I was going to do and she said I would end up where I was supposed to be. She was so incredibly sweet.
I walked out of the house extremely queasy and completely dumbfounded about what to do. I had no idea what I was going to do and the tears kept coming. I sat in the room where we were supposed to sign our bid cards for a long time. I struggled immensely but finally on a whim wrote one house down....
Any guesses before I reveal?

Soooo after a long sit and many tears I went with a sudden gut feeling and ranked 1. La Bayadere and then 2. Coppelia. I don't know what made me do it but I just did. I was still upset after ranking because I didn't know if I made the right choice, and sitting locked in a building for 6 hours didn't help the doubting I was doing. But the next day I got my bid..............and it was from La Bayadere! Today I am 1000% (yes 1000) positive that I made the right decision!!! I am seriously so happy and in the perfect place imaginable for me. I'm glad I trusted my instincts and went with it. I'm still close with the 2 girls who mainly rushed me and even closer with the girl from La Bayadere. I'm proud to say I am a member of the largest women's organization in the country...................

In defense of Nervousnelly, I think she meant to tout their rank as "largest women's Greek fraternity organization" (per Chi O's official information).
BTW, I am NOT trying to argue that point, just clarifying what I think Nelly was trying to say with pride...
And congrats NervousNelly and twin. I hope you have had a good year!
