I have sisters who are in DC right now. One has an aunt who owns an office building in the city, and that's where they'll be sleeping (on air mattresses).

I feel kind of ambivalent about the whole thing (not exactly a surprise since I didn't vote for or support the new President during the election)...I kind of wish I lived in DC, I'd go on vacation for a few days and let one of you Obama supporters rent my place!

I'm hiding out as well. My office is closed for the week because of it though, so I'm just enjoying the vacation.

You couldn't pay me to go in that crowd or the cold anyway. And despite its historic implications, I'd not want to go and celebrate Obama either. So I've gotten rid of my 4 tickets and am enjoying Netflix.

I won't be able to see the inauguration in DC, but I'm staying home from class all day so I can watch it on tv.
