I wish Taylor would go -- his voice isn't so bad, but it is painful to watch him "perform" - its like he is having continuous muscle spasms! He can take Ace & Paris with him too -- but my bets are still for Paris to be at least top 3.

I still love Elliott - jacked up teeth or not - his voice is wonderful. Chris is also a favorite. I would throw in Katherine to make my ideal top 3.

dani - you are so not right in the head - as if Kelly could even say scientologist! Can't you hear her now "wha? whats thayt? I ain't never heard of such... you said it wuz a sci-ent-a-mol-ogiser? Ain't that what Tom Cruise started? You know the one with the brother with problems in that movie Its Raining Men?" LOL

I don't know if it's because the "themes" have been a little weird, but I really have not been overwhelmed this time. I think one of the main problems is that some singers keep trying to sing in a key that is not right for their voice.
(Yes, Katherine, I mean you. Your high notes are painful and not on pitch.)

AXO Alum, I am with you 100% about Taylor. His voice is pretty good, and it's great that he's so passionate and energetic... but I just can't stand to watch him! I'm afraid he's going to hurt himself.

I am totally over Ace and Paris. And Kelly just has to go. Pop stars have to be able to give at least *quasi-intelligent* interviews. She can't even pronounce salmon!

Then again, Britney was popular for a while. Quasi-intelligent isn't a word I'd use to describe her....

"I think, like, we should just trust our president (smack, smack, smack) in every decision that he, like, makes and we should just, like, support that (smack, smack, smack)."

Lol. That Britney quote is hysterical.

But, difficult as it may seem, Kelly makes Britney look pretty smart by comparison.

It's all relative, I suppose.

I was thinking the same thing ZTAngel, but the first person that popped into my head was Jessica Simpson.

"How can Chicken of the Sea be tuna when it says Chicken on the can?" "Do Buffalo's really have wings? I have never seen them."

I think Kellie and her are in the same boat when it comes to intelligence. I just would like to see Kellie go because I really do think she is smart, but she is just playing this game. Plus, she really isn't that good of a singer. While they are on the same wave of intelligence I have to admit Jessica Simpson sings 10 times better then Kellie Pickler!!

I think Chris is an awesome singer and I totally think he's great, but I don't even watch his whole performance anymore. I think he's a rockstar, very Creed-like to me, and I just don't get into him as the American Idol. I dunno. I know he's gonna have an awesome career ahead of him, but I don't want him to win...

Kellie looks like she's drugged.... she really isn't all that attractive.

Kellie = awful
I wish the judges would just say she did horrible instead of sugarcoating it by saying, "It wasn't great."

And oh holly hell Ace. The hair pulled back look is not attractive. He looks like one of the nasty, greasy 45-year-old guys I use to see at the Ft. Lauderdale dive bars who would be borderline frightening in their flirtation techniques with all the 20-something girls.

Kellie Pickler sang "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered"

There is no way in heaven she knows what the word "beguiled" means. I'm sure she had to have coaching to be able to pronounce it correctly.

This probably is the best week by far. I think most people did fairly well. I really don't think Kellie did that well, and I agree with ZTAngel about Ace's hair. I also think Katherine did the best tonight. I did miss Chris, though.

Totally loved McPhee tonight. She was great. And I really enjoyed Chris as well.

They were spot on in saying Paris is a great jazz singer. I remember her being my fav in auditions for her style.

Taylor was good too.

I'd LOVE to see Kellie leave already. I'm so over her... but $20 says it won't happen.

What exactly was this week's theme? I know Rod Stewart was coaching... but what was the general theme?

I only caught the end. I kept thinking of The Wedding Singer when Ace was singing his song. (It was the song from the Bar Mitzva.)

Anyway... I thought McPhee was good. Kudos for finally choosing a song that fit her range. Every other week was stretching it.

Kellie with "Bewitched..." I only saw the clip and I could only imagine her intro and the comments she made afterward. But I'll have to catch TWOP for that.
