It's really astounding! Remember when we though 800 was a whole lot? Just caught my typo, I hate typos.

Beautiful! I'm dying to go to a game and visit the Grove. I've been to games in three SEC stadiums now, but this has got to be #4.

Panhellenic Silence begins tomorrow, Sunday, September 7, 2014. Any questions before Greek Day, first rounds, next Sunday?

Does anyone have the number of PNMs registered at Ole MIss for upcoming recruitment? I just heard 1600? Is this correct?

My daughter considered Ole Miss and we visited for a weekend. It was actually homecoming weekend last year. Beautiful and welcoming campus. Caught a game and tailgated (or really just kind of walked around, since we didn't know anyone) in the Grove. What an experience!!

Good luck to all PNM's and Mom's on recruitment!

You were able to get a hotel room in that area on a game weekend? I'm stunned.

I was and I got them 2 1/2 weeks before at the Holiday Inn Express They definitely have a limited number of hotels. I think I got them free, because we are platinum rewards members and I used points, but they still had rooms available when we checked in - though they were pricey - as someone came in and inquired while we were checking in.

When we thought she might be attending, I tried to make reservations for game day weekends for this year and there was NOTHING. This was probably back in January or Feb. I called and the gal at the Holiday Inn told us that all the rooms were blocked up for SEC officials, etc - but many would be released come April/May.

They played Idaho - so it was not an in conference game. Maybe that's why? But still....homecoming.

Ole Miss is a tough rush! Good luck to all of your daughters! I'm an SEC alum and have seen first hand how stressed it has become.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Oxford, I have a great game day house! It's called Cute Cottage Close to Campus and is listed on oxfordfootballrentals.com. We have a few football games left (Memphis, homecoming and Mississippi State, I think). I'd love to have a fellow Greek chat member rent it!
