Me too I suppose! I graduated about a week ago and have been researching Doctorate programs since October. I plan to take the GRE (didn't need it for my M. Ed. because I had a high undergrad GPA) and apply in 2010. I'm thinking Clinical Counseling, but who knows.

Yay for punishment!

I just finished my Counseling degree oooohhhhh maybe 3 weeks ago and am waiting to see if I got any PhD interviews. I swear, I just like the pain. I'm wondering if I'll ever get to the point where I like school again.

I know I posted in this thread that I was going for a Ph. D.

Things have changed.

I recently submitted my app materials for a 2nd Masters in something I have wanted to pursue for awhile.

I am crazy.

This weekend is completely devoted to studying for my GRE - which is next week - kill me.

All of my applications have been started, so that's good. The first two are due December 1st, but I'm planning on having all four in by them. It's a little unsettling not knowing where I'm going to be a year from now.

The latter.

I PMed you though.

Also, since I've been sick, my new favorite hobby involves checking the status of my app online like every hour. lol.

I've been thinking about applying to Howard U. Grad School (school of communications) but I feel burned out. I'll wait and see.

I'm done!!!!

As of yesterday, I now possess a beautiful Masters in Reading and a K-12 teaching credential. My other Masters is in Education and my previous credential was just for K-8. I can now teach any grade level AND teach reading courses at private and/or community colleges.

Graduation ceremony isn't until January but I don't mind the wait. I'm just thrilled I passed & finished.

Now I get to relax (FINALLY!) but first, picking up my graduation gift from my hubby. My 2011 race red Ford Mustang. WOOHOO! I love muscle cars & I've always wanted a Mustang.

One of my grad school friends sent me this today, and I forwarded it to my PhD student fiance who thought it was hilarious:

I applied to their Counseling Psych grad program and am still pissed about it a year later. They lost all of my materials including GRE scores (sent electronically) and the $50 fee, ADMITTED that they were probably in a stack of unopened mail somewhere yet refused to process the app (filled out online) till I re-submitted all my materials INCLUDING getting my recommenders to redo the letters and paying the money again. A couple weeks ago, my mom told me a letter came to the house from them. It was a rejection letter from LAST YEAR saying I was denied admission because they did not receive all my materials by the deadline but encouraged me to apply again this year. Howard can kiss my arse.

Intervention Specialist (Mild/Moderate)

This is something that I have been interested in for awhile and is kind of tied to the work I've been doing recently (working in the mental health field).

I'm excited.
