Is there any chance that some of the people who go to Valdosta would know? I wouldn't want to steal Carnation's thunder, but she said she wouldn't be able to post until 5!

Honestly, I would be very surprised if Carnation eventually tells us BlazerCheer went anywhere other than Chi O. Maybe that's why she won't tell us the other pref group.

My thoughts exactly...I mean, she was paired with her own sister, like she's gonna turn that down! Hopefully if she ends up in Chi-O she would've picked it anyway, regardless of being an in-house legacy. I still don't exactly like that idea (of her being paired with her sister, that is), I know it's not really dirty rushing or anything but I guess the reason it bugs me is kinda somewhere along those lines...anyone else get what I mean here?

It's not dirty rushing at all!! I think it's awesome that her sister got to pref her, and hopefully will make her want to be a Chi O all the more! That's part of the benefit of having legacies

we had an inhouse legacy rush while i was recruitment and her sister DESPERATELY wanted to pref her, so we let her.... but only for a few minutes. We didnt want her to think we wanted her because she was a legacy, we wanted her because of who she is... and she suicided AGD! Later on her comment was "what did you thikn I would, go anywhere else? DUH!" we laughed!

I agree-- put the sister with the in-house legacy, but not for the whole time.

I totally agree with shadokat (and not just because I am crossing everything I can to have another carnation kid in my sorority!!! )! If I was an in-house legacy and I didn't get preffed by my sister, I'd be hurt I think. I mean, as a rushee I went into Pref expecting to talk to the women I most connected with in each house, hoping that would make my decision clear. In both of my Prefs I was paired with girls I already knew quite well from the University's dance team. Would you consider that "dirty", sweetiepie? I think it's pretty much the same situation. You know and love a girl outside of rush and you want to hear from her, because you trust her, how much you should be in her house. Just my thoughts...

Sweetie pie did not say it was dirty rushing, just that it kinda sorta seemed that way to her...

Back in the day -- waaaaaaaaaaaay back! we had several sister legacy pairs rush at Southern Cal...and we always made sure the sisters had a chance to talk for at least a few minutes! All the ones I can remember went Gamma Phi....
