And I agree that there are some things outside the SEC we need to consider. A handful of ACC schools (FSU, Clemson, UVA), UTexas, and some small southern schools (Suwanee, CofC, W&L, etc.).

I would be willing to bet that if you visited a top-tier house at one of THE greek schools in the south (Ole Miss, Bama, maybe UGA) you'd agree with me pretty quickly too. I'm fine with you all having the same letters/rituals as us, but to argue that your greek systems even come close to having the pull on campus, selectivity or atmosphere as ours do would be foolish.

It is a whole different beast down here and thats why, at times, we laugh at the fact that other chapters think they are "fratty".

We generally want to distance ourselves from nationals/other chapters because we view them as significantly different than us. It's a running joke down here that you can't stereotype organizations as a whole because every group has good houses and every group has bad houses - and most of them are in the North.
