I can't believe this thread hasn't picked up since May. Surely I can't be the only one who still watches The Deadliest Catch?

I love seeing Phil interact with Josh and Jake. You can tell they're all hard asses who don't like to show emotion, but they all seem to manage to do so. It was hard seeing Phil in a hospital gown and not in his Captain's chair!

I can't wait to head off to the crab buffet again!

Darn it! I missed it last night. I wanted to find out what happened to Phil. I was so worried about him. Did anyone watch "After the Catch?" I loved the Coast Guard pilot.

Anyone else crave crab legs after watching the show?

Oh, all the time. Luckily there's an all you can eat buffet 10 minutes away from my house that serves crab legs. When DolphinChicaDDD was here during Memorial Day weekend, it was only fitting that we went there because there was a DC marathon going on!

I too loved the Coast Guard pilot in After the Catch. She does not look like a CG pilot at all...but she sure knows how to keep her cool so she can save lives!

I was worried about Phil too. But don't worry, I won't go too much into it since some of you haven't seen it yet!

And yay for lots of fresh greenhorns!

I haven't watched "After the Catch" yet, but I did watch last night's DC episode. I think Phil is one very lucky man. Most people die from blood clots like that, but he lived after waiting so long to get medical care for it. Talk about an angel on his shoulders watching over him.

I am glad Moi is gone. But thought it was sad that while the captain was talking about firing him, he was saying how he wants to do better on the ship. At least Keith didn't drag it out.

Liking the new Greenhorn on the Cornelia Marie, but the other one on the North American (I think) needs to quit his bitching.

I love, love, love this show! My husband got me hooked. (Get it, "hooked"?)

I never complain about the price of crab in restaurants. If anything, after seeing what these guys go through, I think it should cost even more!

I thought it was interesting that most of the crab caught by the Deadliest Catch guys actually gets shipped to Japan. Allot of the crab sold in stores in the US is actually from China or Russia.

My husband and I have been watching this show ever since it started. Anyone else noticed that it seems like the Hillstrands are a nice group and really seem to try and have fun with one another? They seem to smile and laugh a lot more than other crews.

There's nothing like having your family on board, right?

The Hillstrands, the Harris boys on the Cornelia Marie...even Edgar and Sig on the Northwestern. But you're right, when you compare the Hillstrands to the other families, they just don't yell at each other too much.

It was neat to see that one After the Catch episode and the captains talked about what they do when they're not fishing. Andy raising horses didn't seem too out there as Phil and his building bird feeders!

Andy's farm is somewhere outside of Evansville, Indiana and I guess he has become a minor celebrity when he is around. My father-in-law, who never gets excited for anything, claims to have seen him at Tractor Supply (or maybe it was Farm & Fleet) and was almost giddy retelling the story.http://www.hobbyhorseacres.net/home/
Here's the link to his horse farm. I want to have my birthday party there!

The most popular crab in the Pac NW is Dungeness Crab, which is off of the Pac NW/Canadian/Alaskan coast, so we're lucky (although I don't like crab).

Sig Hansen is the grand marshal of this year's Seafair Torchlight Parade in Seattle.

The bf made me watch this one year during Thanksgiving when they had a marathon. We then decided that, from then on, every year at Turkey day, we would order a pound of Opelio crab legs, and have a moment of silence for those who were lost in the Bering Sea. I LOVE this show.

Don't know if they have em online, but I imagine Discovery will run them pretty often. There were 4 After the Catch episodes.

I'm sure someone here: http://www.deadliest-catch-wiki.discovery.com/ might know.
