I doubt that my chapter is participating because they're above total. Hmm...I need to make a phone call about this.

I would think that Panhellenic would be the ones to know for sure. I suggest calling them.

I thought that was weird too because I heard that Gamma Alpha was above total.

Given that it is a Sunday, I'm calling one of my sisters...I'd hope they knew if they were in the middle of a Spring Rush or not

You're right. Gamma Alpha was WELL above total after fall recruitment. I know people graduate in December but not enough to qualify for Spring Rush...

PS According to another UGA thread, the only chapters below total after Fall Rush this year were SDT and DG:

Here's an article from 2005 about Spring Rush at UGA but I can't find anything more recent.

http://media.www.redandblack.com/med...-2573196.shtml

Not every house participates. The one I advise has not participated in Spring Rush in 20+ years.

And FYI-- House Total at UGA is at 170. The UGA panhellenic just voted NOT to increase to 180.

As of the end of Fall recruitment, not counting any COB numbers, the only two houses under 170 were Delta Gamma and Sigma Delta Tau. So they would be the only two participants in Spring Rush."

So...unless there were A LOT of December graduates, DG and SDT should be the only ones participating in Spring Rush.

Today was supposed to be bid day, according to the UGA NPC page. Anyone know any results?

I've heard that we were allowed to take 13 new members even though we were at Total. I don't know why, but apparently it was a special circumstance of some sort. And, we did take 13 new members.

Do they allow for COR up to what Quota was due to graduations and/or depledging? If not, I'm curious why the special circumstance occurred. Seems to defeat the purpose of total if it's not going to be stuck to anyway... Then again, I always thought that quota above total was freebies, if you lost members due to graduation or whatever other reason, as long as you were above total, you couldnt pick anymore up...

nonetheless - congrats on the new members....
