The whole issue of the bride-to-be choosing ridiculous and unflattering dresses for her wedding party to wear is really sad and shows nothing but insecurity. You can find nice dresses for your wedding party that don't come anywhere close to the beauty of a wedding gown or perhaps people are not choosing the best looking wedding gowns these days. I had a small wedding and reception in my home with no wedding party but if I did go all out, I would want everyone to look and feel good.

As for my hair, no one is touching my hair!

I think that is very inconsiderate with all of the expenses involved in a wedding anyway. I allowed the ladies in my wedding to choose the style they wanted and I had a stylist there the day of to do their hair and make-up.

When you are dealing with a variety of body types, it is best to go with something versatile. I think it is a good idea to choose something skinny as well as thick girls will look nice in...Also, depending on the church, modesty should definitely be taken into consideration. I am not feeling those new 2 piece deals with the short skirts!
