Man For Change, it is not that people don't want to help those on their journey to Greekdom because SOME do. But for many of us, we've been on the 'Net long enough to be wary of folks who come on here asking membership related questions. Many of our orgs have a zero tolerance policy for those types of questions which translates to message boards.
Not only that but the whole "I don't want to be paper. Pledge me!!! mentality/topic" is tired and those who come on here expressing those sentiments seem more fixated with that aspect of the Greek journey than what really matters in Greek life -- scholarship, service, and brother/sisterhood.
So yes you got clowned, snarked, etc. for this topic. If you look in the Omega forum, the paper/pledge sentiments are rampant.

www.goldboots.com of course. Don't try to bait me.
Sorors, you all are seriously pushing my buttons. Keep it up and I will report you to my Dad who will report you to our national president.

ladygreek i have a question: i know a gentleman that actually went through al the blood, sweat and bruises to find out later that his GPA didnt meet the general reguirements. I thought you were suppose to have that checked before a big brother teach you perservence. (sorry if i spelled it wrong). Since he went through that he had to drop the line. Now that he has an GPA that meets the reguirment, no line is taking place. is graduate chapter able to accept you in and still pledge undergrad style? he wants to be apart, but he wants to get it the true Omega man way. whatever that is??

You must be truly serious about wanting to become a member of any organization, especially a fraternity. It's a lifetime committment and an eternal bond. I will not down play any other fraternity, but why the Kappas? Don't get me wrong because I work with a few and they are cool guys. Of course, I am and will always be for the Ques....
To answer your question....You must seek out a member of the fraternity of your choice. Just as applying for a career, you must seek a background of the fraternity....which you can find on the internet. Learn about the history, its members, goals, etc. Once your choice of a fraternity is made, then you need to seek them out, ie at a college campus, through someone you may know is a member, etc. Express your interest to them and they will guide you through.

They were jokes, just jokes. You really don't have to protest too much.
