For a fun day trip, check out the vineyards in Herman. It was a blast and nice surpise to see in the midwest.

What I like about St. Louis ... and Missourri

The Cards, running in Forest Park, Central West End - a cute strip of shops and bars and big, historic houses, Clayton and Ladue, Union Station, Sundeckers, canoeing on the rivers, the loft district, the Chocolate Bar, Harrys and JBucks, the Hill, McGurks and Soulard, Mardi Gras celebration ... I could go on ...

St. Louis is no Chicago or LA, but it is a great blend of city life tucked into the heart of the Midwest. Its downfall ... there's no beach.

I can't believe this thread came back up! Sigh... I miss MO. I absolutely love Hermann, and I definately need to stock up on my wine when I go visit my sisters. (I used to drive right past Stone Hill's outlet store on the way from my town to my parents'.)

And alphachiohmy, thanks for reminding me of McGurks! It's been forever since I've been there, I'll have to make sure I go the next next time I'm in the neighborhood!

Missouri is alright I guess... Out of all the places I've lived... It's not the worst... but I really would like to move back to TX.

go square states!

I'd just like to cheer on all my girls rooting for the Midwest!

I grew up in KC and always have a good time going back. I've lived on both coasts but will always have a soft spot in my heart for home, the Chiefs, and the Jayhawks. Go KU!!

I always got so angry when people refer to the Midwest as "fly over country." So disrespectful and ignorant.
