carnation, the Herff Jones site shows a Pi Phi mother's pin. It's an arrowhead with the three lettes.

Gamma Phi has one - it is shaped like the shield of our pledge pin, but has a pink carnation instead of a crescent. My mom wears hers right next to (but a little lower) her Gamma Phi Beta badge!

Question: would a mother who is a current alum of an NPC wear a mother's pin for their daughter's GLO?

That's what these are talking about :

A Quill is AXiD's badge.

But those two happen to belong to the same organization as their daughter's do.

Sigma Chi Mother of Pearl Cross
While this pendant is usually given to House Mothers and the chapter sweetheart, it may also be given to Sig Mothers. After all, they are our first Sweetheart.

HA I'm jealous of my mom's ZTA mother's pin - I think the crown is so pretty!

I think it is still allowed, but most, if not all NPCs state that any other organization's jewelry (sweetheart pins, mother's pins, professional org pins, etc.) has to be worn below your NPC badge. Although if you're in an NPC, I don't know why you would need/want a mother's pin. Any occasion at which you could wear it, wouldn't you be more apt to wear your own badge? Then again I like things simple and don't like guards or dangles for my badge either.

I don't see why not - the point is you are a mother of a member, whether or not you yourself are a member of that GLO.

I love that Sigma Chi one - good thing I already have my sons going "I want to be a Sigma Chi!"

I can't find a picture, but Delta Zeta has (or at least had) one in the shape of a column.

I don't see why not, but my hypothetical future daughter's ABC mother's pin would (properly) go below my AEPhi badge. But we all know my hypothetical future daughter is going AEPhi, right??
AEPhi does not have a mother's or father's pin. It would be kind of hard to design one, since only initiated sisters may wear the Greek letters.
(BTW, I think it's very sweet that AZ-AlphaXi's mom uses her mother's pin as her guard. )
