My Civic has had bad luck too:

-getting two blown tires on a haunted highway at 330 in the morning in the pouring rain

-being rear ended by an asshole

-me reversing into a street lamp post

-the parking structure incident (smashed door)...i still think the pillar jumped out of nowhere

-the bumper incident at Office Depot

-and two dead batteries

*and my car is only 4 years old*

Yep, Kimber is 4wd. Andfortunately theres no swamps in this part of texas. lots of desert, but no swamps. Good luck with your hook up and potential job.

I drive a 1988 Honda Accord, which has given me minimal problems despite two accidents, one of which was two months ago b/c a deer ran into the side of my car, smashed my fender and dented my door. My clutch was giving out on me but by God's grace, it is running like it is brand new. I also got a new exhaust and a new battery. I have only had the car 2 1/2 years and I am the 2nd owner--1st owner took GOOD care of the car.

Oh, my dream car. Acura CL coupe. I want a coupe and the CL looks very classy.

Oh, mine is an '87 with 150k so my bad luck isn't really surprising
I think they are usually pretty reliable cars. Plus, I have to add - I live in NY, so the winters are long and salt is on the streets in abundance....

I heard that cars don't last long where there are harsh winters b/c of the salt!!! Is that true? My teacher, who's from Chicago, says his car only lasts about 5 years (the outerbody), whereas his car has lasted 25 years out here in San Francisco, CA--where it doesn't snow.

Hey - that's what I drive too. Mine's gray - there are so many of them out there that I had to memorize my license plate so I quit walking up to other people's cars - LOL. I'm also the second owner. My parents bought if for me from a neighbor when I was in college. Now that I just got my first "real" job I'm hoping to buy something new soon. It vibrates a little at stoplights, the idle is too high, the drivers side power window keeps coming off track, and the neutral safety switch went out which NEVER happens on a Honda. Just my luck. Mostly it's reliable though.

o'kay where should i begin? my sister has a 96 honda accord! my dad didnt want to get it for her, but she wanted an accord in that year b/c it fits her.. well here's what it does to her.. bad luck, bad karma, peice of shit car.. who knows?!!
*drivers side window comes off track (one of yall mentioned that)
*bad wreck in the rain
*popped tire on the side of HWY 71 when it was late at night and just me and her.. cell phones are a great thing!
*cement truck ran into her (his fault)
*got stuck late at night in the thick sand on the beach trying to find the kegger
*got stuck down in a ditch, and some guys tried to help get her out, but ended up pulling the bumper almost all off and the back bumper kinda loose
*18 wheeler almost hit her when it swerved out of his lane b/c of some logs strategically set in the highway, which ran her into the side guard dilly on the highway
*2 tiny rock cracks in the window
*the tint on the drivers side decided it'd come off when it is supposed to be real tint

thats a good starting..! she's only had it for 2 yrs, but overall it's a pretty good car i think.. through what it's been though, i really don't think any other car would survive... believe it or not, she's a great driver too, from everyone's input i'd say it was the honda to blame

I don't have a car either, but my sweetie does and he calls it "our car"....so I kinda have one (that I'm not paying anything on or anything....so it works good for me! LOL) Anyway, he has a 2000 Toyota Celica GTS in red. It is THE sweetest car!

When I get my own car, I want a convertible in silver or purple! And I'm not picky about what kind of convertible either....any will do!
