Great descriptions...I know I had one girl practically stop talking to me when she found out I was a junior. It was really awkward. Loving this story too!!

I didn't think that being a sophomore at Elon was a big deal?

For most of the chapters it isn't a big deal, but for some it is.

Update time!
I got up early for Day 2, because I was really excited about how Day 1 had gone and I wanted to see where I got invited back! I met with my Pi Chi group and noticed that everyone had gotten asked back, which was great because that means no one had gotten cut completely! When I got my invite list back, I almost tore the paper due to being nervous and excited! I got invited back to London, Sydney, Atlanta, Barcelona, and Athens! I was pretty excited. I had no hard feelings about being released from Beijing, and while I liked most of the girls from Seoul, I knew that I would never fit in there. I was a little mad about being released from LA, but I had London and Barcelona, so I felt alright. So, decked out in a white button up, dark R&R jeans, cute heels, and my trusty lucky pearl and crystal set, I set out to the parties.
First, I went to Barcelona, and was instantly greeted by one of my friends from first semester. We didn’t even go near the philanthropy craft—we just chatted and met with other sisters. I knew that I shouldn’t get my hopes up, but damn, was I excited! Every girl that met me seemed to know my name, hometown, and who I had met with the day before, and seemed to genuinely happy to be speaking with me. These girls kind of had a little reputation as being a little overly nice, but I didn’t care—I was SO excited and ready to do cartwheels!
After going to my favorite house, going to Sydney was kind of a letdown, to be honest. There, I struggled to make their craft and felt really awkward, while the girl recruiting me kind of sat there in awkward silence. It was awkward all around! There wasn’t anything too notable about this party, but I’m glad that I didn’t have a watch because I would have been tempted to look at it like 100 times! The girls were very nice, and kept coming over to talk to me, which made me feel good, like “watch out for that gymnasta girl, we like her. Let’s keep her around.” But after 2 days, I kind of knew that this house wasn’t a home for me.
London came next, and I had a blast! We watched a video on their philanthropy, which seemed really interesting, and I had a great talk with a sister that was a senior. She was exactly like me—we had a lot of the same interests, and even a similar major/minor combo! She was so sweet and nice, and I wished that we could be sisters that instant! If all of these girls were like my rusher, then I would love this place.
After London, I went to Athens, where I had an alright time. I knew that I would never join it, because I didn’t feel like it was home, but I put a smile on my face and was a good rushee, in my book. I kept up a conversation, smiled, and acted no differently than if I was at my favorite house. I knew I couldn’t be rude—what if on Day 3, I had a miraculous turn around and was happy? So I tried to be nice, and keep my options open.
Finally, I went to Atlanta. I was pretty shocked to be asked back here. I thought that the girl hated me, and I didn’t think that they would like me. over the week, and since then, I’ve heard that they have a hard time with girls coming back to their parties—places like Seoul, Beijing, London, and LA have high retention rates, which I understood as like, people are less likely to drop out if they get asked back to those houses, while more people drop if they get invited to places like Sydney or Atlanta. The girl that I talked to was SUPER sweet. She was so nice, and totally changed my opinion of the entire chapter! I left Recruitment that day super-confused. I ranked my houses as follows:
Top 3 (any order)
(1) Barcelona
(2) London
(3) Atlanta
Bottom 2 (in order)

GymnastA, I think it is time for another update. If this were recruitment at the pace that it happens, you would have gone to the next round by now.
