amen to that Roz...
people ask me now why i didnt choose one of the Divine 9. i have nothing against them at all, i have many members in my family. it all boiled down to whether they were a fit for me. things are not the same as they were in the early to mid 1900's. i felt my sorority was where i needed to be in life, and all of my friends who are greek support me 100%!
congrats to the founding of your new org! i wish you continued success...

true story, these "new" orgs are poppin up left and right...
i was at a stroll competition on friday, and i seen a rack of orgs i aint never heard of in my life. and what made matters worse...the colors they chose...i saw one org that had royal blue/pure white, and i thought she was a zeta, and i was bout to go saw wat up to her, till i saw her letters. shit was fuckin wit my eyes all nite long. i'm not used to seeing other orgs rockin royal blue/pure white.
me personally, i dont have any beef wit the new bglos...i mean, if they aint want to get with one of the NPHC orgs, then so be it, thats cool...more power to them...

Before jumping in, I spent many hours learning the "personality" of GC and noting the (online) personalities of members who regularly post, and I've always found your posts to be on point.
In other words, I like you, too.

Thank you for your well wishes! I totally understand where you're coming from. It's all about the fit.
Idealogically, I am not a fit for the NPHC organizations; yet, I wanted to be part of a sisterhood. And, over the years (I got the concept for my sorority about 12-13 years ago), I kept hearing the same thing from other women, but it wasn't time. Well, now it is.

i can understand that blue, of allll the colors to chose from, the new orgs should have enough respect to not secretly try to pass off as another better known org. i can think of at least 3 or 4 other shades of blue lol! i think that is why i chose the org i did...there isnt much of anything you would confuse with anyone in the divine 9. now, there may be another non black GLO we have things like, but theres a bazillion of those out there lol, who had time for the research?

I did some research, covering the NPHC and NMGC orgs (the two groups my sorority could possibly be mistaken for membership within), to make sure I didn't inadvertantly choose a name, or color combination, that were already in use. That was probably the easiest part to get right, so I have no sympathy for orgs like the one you're talking about in your post. Everybody has a lazy streak here or there -- and I admit I'll be the first one to holler "don't reinvent the wheel" when appropriate -- but what those orgs have done rises to the level of (their founders) being downright trifling. I can't stand "trifling-ness"!

I never thought of it like that, but that's a very good point.
What does the B stand for in BGLO?
