I saw a battle a little while ago - Morimoto vs. Tim Love (from Texas)
The secret ingrediant was chili peppers. Love was, once again, from Texas...Morimoto said in his presentation that he'd NEVER cooked with chilis before. Final score? Love won...BY ONE POINT. I totally don't even consider that a victory. Your specialty against something the Iron Chef has never used before, and you only win by one point? Pathetic.

I was sooooo mad about that! I love Morimoto. I thought it was so cute though when he introduced his dishes and held up the peppers to show the ones he used.

And that is why I gained 10 pounds watching her show last summer when she was doing those yummy BBQ shows.

I think I like the idea of Jamie Oliver more than I actually like him. I get excited for his shows but then can't sit through an entire episode. Then I forget when the shows are on and never seem to run across them again.

Has anyone seen the latest Food Network Star's show? I haven't caught it yet, but I was so mad when she won anyways. I think it's her teeth that freak me out the most and how snobby she was on the competition.

I missed this competition. Darn! I'll have to go back and catch it to see what the deal with her was.

I liked her better than her competitor, although I liked the guy who... well I won't spoil it
Dinner Impossible and some Throwdowns are fun.
Question though, Batali's contract wasn't renewed etc. but they're using his image in the new animated Iron Chef ads. Is he hanging around?

I'm curious to see if there will be any changes in the format of Everyday Italian now that Giada is pregnant. Will they incorporate that into the show (which makes sense) or a lot of episodes before she starts to show and then switch to reruns while she has her baby. I think it would be great if she kept on cooking right up until she pops.

If you like the casual kitchen chef type shows, with the kids and the dogs and all that, check out Sam the Cooking Guy. Hysterical. He's always dropping stuff or burning himself but he makes really great recipes!!! He's on cable in South Orange county and SD, and on the internet. Kind of has a cult following now but I'm sure he'll end up in the food channel soon!
