I'm really over this two-party BS. I've been registered as Independent as long as I've voted.
I agree 100% with all of this.

I agree w/Munchkin03 - this is party line stuff and I too am registered Independent. Show me WHY you deserve my vote!
And 100% with all of this.

hooray!! I'm glad I'm not the only one. Also, I had my pick of three two extremists, and a halfway moderate I voted for the halfway moderate, WEbb, b/c he seemed further away from the left than Allen did from the right, and the i/Green lady was...not as extreme in her views as Allen but close

Exactly. Including the party line comment.

I also don't claim a party affiliation, and in reviewing my votes this election, they were split almost equally between the two parties.

I hope that this election will, as many commentators and pundits have suggested should happen, move politics more toward the center.

I think the dramatic (radical?) split, fostered by both sides, has hurt the country.

the dramatic split has indeed harmed the country, and is a result of jerrymandering...which is why I voted against all incumbants.

Isn't it Gerrymandering -- after Governor Gerry? I might be wrong.

I think that -- however it's spelled -- is but a small part of the problem.

It seems to me that the extremes of both parties have been the loudest voices heard. I think that the population, as a whole, is a lot more toward the center.

As someone said, more purple than strict red or blue.

I hope that both parties got that message on last Tuesday, and that there can be some moderation all the way around.
